I feel like I'm trapped in a really BAD
1950's Sci-fi movie ... less than B Grade scripting: a brain-dead, Godless
moron in the Oval Office of USA, and a delusional, soulless imbecile in russia;
both geriatric strawmen with erectile disfunction doing their best to prove how
truly inept they are at everything - including leadership.
On the other hand, prophecy IS
being played out: this time in world History, was foretold about 2,000 years
ago – this knowledge is the only {silver lining}
in this continuing political shitshow that shows no sign of slowing down ...
There is NO REAL {safety measures} with
radiation. Think of the medical people that make sure they are protected with a
rubberized radiation bib/apron when administering "low-level
radiation". If it's so damned low and ‘not really dangerous’, WHY the
need to cover up and STEP OUT OF THE ROOM of the patient being radiated! That
really made me mad when some stupid "technician" would bring the Xray
machine into Bob's room - and then make sure he or she was outside the room by
a good distance before snapping the damned imaging shot. I felt like physically
pushing them back into the room to be radiated with my husband.
The drugs
are worthless – and the money being spent can be put to better usage. MPO

The
Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) says it has spent $290 million on
a drug to treat radiation sickness in the event of a nuclear emergency.
The
HHS Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response announced in a Tuesday release that it bought
the drug Nplate from Amgen USA Inc. “as part of long-standing, ongoing efforts
to be better prepared to save lives following radiological and nuclear
emergencies.”
Acute
Radiation Syndrome, caused by exposure to a high dose of radiation, can cause a
range of symptoms. Severe cases can wreak devastating effects on the body,
including destruction of bone marrow and internal bleeding, according to the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Nplate,
which can be used for both adults and children, is aimed at reducing the
uncontrolled bleeding often caused by radiation.
The Food
and Drug Administration first approved the drug in 2008 to
combat an autoimmune disorder that caused serious bleeding and extended another approval in January of
last year for use of the drug as a radiation sickness treatment.
The
new purchase follows growing international concern over the potential use of
nuclear weapons in Russia’s war on Ukraine.
