FEELIN’ THE LOVE

Today was a good day 😁

It started out this morning when the rain stopped and I asked my SIL to go walking with me - she said yes; so I picked her up and we walked along the dike on 30th ... crossed over and continued along the dike behind the golf course. Mileage calculated was an even 4 miles round trip.

We started out walking the Pacific Way Trail along the dike on 30th, and crossed over the roadway at 32nd to continue the dike walk behind the Golf Course:

The Pacific Trail. Dike Hike from 30th to 48th.

I felt blessed with the company - and no raindrops. It was fun and I hope to do it again 😃

Merry spotted this turtle – she’s as good as Bob at seeing them.
Goats bawling: Merry knew it was goats.
Mama duck with her brood of adolescent ducklings; walking over the roadway instead of swimming through the culvert ...
The duck family slipped over the bank edge and entered the water that way.

When I got home and collected the mail, I whooped with delight 👏: the State refunded me 2/3rds of what I paid in April on my Property Taxes - I wished Bob were here to laugh with me (but I know he was proud of me, and I'm sure he smiled when he saw my eyes light on the check): we had planned to apply for the Senior Discount together; I'm glad I qualified 👍 ... and I'm glad I managed to get the paperwork done, qualified, and processed by myself with no snafu's 😉

"GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME; AND ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!" (2 Corinthians 9:8)

So, I phoned the Bank to see if they were open for business yet – they were … so back into town I went. They said they would prefer I used the drive-through window; but I said I wasn’t comfortable with that and preferred doing business IN the bank: (1) I don’t want to dent or scratch the car by trying to squeeze it through the very tight drive-through space (2) I’m a shortie – I don’t want to have to get out of the car, stand on tip-toe to complete the transaction, and then get back into the car … while being glared at by impatient customers waiting behind me. OR to unbuckle the seat belt and practically stand on the driver’s seat to streeeetch out the car window to fiddle with the transaction station. It's just easier for everyone if I walk into the bank and “get ‘er done” as speedily as possible.

Whoop-woop!
I'm a very happy gal right now.
The bank lobby is finally open for business; thank God - finally! Of course, it’s been overhauled with protective laminate face shields and the tellers all wear masks. But thankfully, masks are not required for customers.
Outside the bank, these low-lying heavy clouds is why it's so stinking humid. This one was dark too, but so far – no rainfall.

I just really felt loved today when I saw that refund check. Scripture says “For your Maker is your husband – the Lord Almighty is His Name” (Isaiah 54:5) – and that is so true for widows :-D Those who have no husband … and those not looking for a husband to replace our husbands that now live beyond the clouds. Not only are we, as Christians, a daughter of the Most High God; but Yeshua becomes our Husband – and that makes me happy.

Receiving that check was almost like hearing Him say, “I love you, Val.” And that’s always good to hear from your husband! Yeshua is providing for me; He is protecting me in all areas of my life; and He lets me know, every day … e.v.e.r.y.s.i.n.g.l.e.d.a.y., on a daily basis – though not always as big as today – that He loves me, He sees me, He knows what I’m going through: He comforts me.

It’s a blessing to know that He is providing for me.

For a quick snack before Suppertime, I jazzed up a bologna and mustard sandwich by adding a handful of Miner’s Lettuce leaves, and 2 sliced radishes – it was pretty good. Definitely a repeat 😉 Miner’s lettuce is a native North America food source – and it’s packed full of health benefits … so much so, that it will cure scurvy. This king of the wild lettuce (https://www.healthbenefitstimes.com/miners-lettuce/) was prized by gold miner’s who ate it to stave off the debilitating disease: I eat it to get the iron I need to keep my anemic blood healthy. Radishes are chock-full of health benefits too (https://food.ndtv.com/food-drinks/10-incredible-radish-benefits-the-power-source-of-potassium-vitamin-c-and-fiber-1397076), and I eat them for the same reason.
