GARDEN PROGRESS

Since the heavy, gray, cloud cover has rolled away … and the sun has come out of hiding; my garden is coming along beautifully 😊

The apples have plumped up and are starting to fall: I found these 2 while watering, and they look full-size:

Apples are falling.

The spaghetti squash is setting fruit/fleshing out, and climbing the trellises – the kale is a major disappointment (1) because I was expecting what I paid for (2) I paid BIG BUCKS for what I expected to harvest. This is the second time Territorial Seeds has screwed me over – they won’t get a third chance: I will use another seed company next year and the following years. I bought organic and paid organic prices. I’m pretty pissed …

Looks NOTHING like what is growing in my vegetable planter box!
What I expected ...

Kalette seeds from Territorial Seeds $7.35 pkt/Organic 25 seeds: bite-sized, loose heads of frilly kale lined up on Brussel sprout-type stalks.

THE plants shown in the above vid, does NOT look ANYTHING like stated above – and advertised in their seed magazine!

What I am SEEING IS NOTHING like I anticipated … and expected for the money I forked out.

I like the little Katrina cabbages; they are so darned cute when they mature, it’s almost criminal to eat them 😊

Base ball size heads when they mature.

But, I think I will plant a larger variety of cabbage too next year; to balance out the cuteness and the practicality 😉

My corn really took off when the sun appeared and the temperature rose. The stalks are reaching for the sky, and I counted 27 ears of corn on the stalks. Because it can become a wind tunnel very quickly along the line of my garden planter boxes, I have staked my corn – and glad I did. I also hand-pollinate to make sure the gusty winds do not carry the pollen away from the budding ears:

Happy with my corn ;-)

The Purple Romano beans, and Yellow Zucchini that was too small to glean 2 days ago, was ready to pick off the vines this afternoon; the beans went into the freezer baggie that is just about maxed out, and I will probably eat the yellow zucchini sliced, breaded with flour, and fried Monday (I plan on being gone tomorrow on a Sunday~Funday daytrip)

Zucchini is 'Superfood'. I eat lots of it.
Purple Romano beans turn green when cooked. Can be eaten raw too.

I have a long drive planned for tomorrow; I want to drive to Fort Columbia and walk the trails there

The houses are closed, but they are still pretty from outside – they are beautiful inside: but with the demoncrat covid madness, everything enjoyable has been shut down and closed off ... except if you are black-, brown-, yellow-, or red-skinned: there is no fun for anyone anymore; just violent racial madness egged on by the Trump haters. God help us if the obama/biden/harris coup is pushed through … there will be no more America, and no more fun anymore. For anyone – even those poor political obamanite tools that actually believe the hyped madness.

The demoncrats have created a very stressful time in America. I pray to God it ends this November - 81 days from now; PLEASE GOD!

I want to enjoy my life before it is gone.

The party of mean dumbasses.
“Liberal” is just another demoncrat label.
Truth spoken to tone deaf lemmings ...

Drugs legalized to dumb down the masses - crazy seems normal to junkies.
Biden is not truly running: Anti-American muslim terrorist supporter obama, is staging a 2nd coup.

So, that said, I am going to take this book and head down the hallway to bed for a relaxing read to escape the madness swirling around me; and read a chapter or two before turning out the light and setting the alarm for an early rise tomorrow morning. I’d like to be on the road by at least 9 AM, so I can get back home before the sun sets tomorrow evening.
