SHABBAT REFLECTION ~ Redeeming the Time

My hike around Lake Sacajawea held revealing insights for my life, this morning.

I am encouraged.

Healing is taking place in all areas of my life.

I am being blessed to be a blessing.

I am finally being redirected to a position of purposeful positivity, for this new time in my new life 😊

Last Sunday’s affirmation is taking root, and growing.

I am so excited; I could shout for the sheer joy of it!

LAKE SACAJAWEA - Lower End-Middle-Upper End Trail = Entire hike, 4 miles loop.
There was message waiting for me at the Lake, this morning.
Bury the old woman, and start redeeming the Time; ‘Don’t Let Me Fall Away’ song.
I need to reboot my spiritual life.
Redeem the Time to DO what you were saved TO do.
God has been faithful & patient with me - it's time for me to 'get with the program'.‘Unfailing Love’ song -
In the wrong hands, your past can become a bludgeoning weapon that keeps you from wholeness in God’s grace, love, and mercy – people are inherently judgmental.
What God has buried in the Sea of Forgetfulness; I do not allow anyone to dredge back up. I don’t visit the boneyard – and I don’t appreciate the ghouls that insist on applying the spiritual shovel.
Living in the 'now' can still stall the present; when your life is at loose ends, with no purposeful positivity.
Allowing the process is a choice.
My thoughts are always tuned to God.
‘He Knows My Name’ song -
I want to stay in step with God's Plan for my life, so I can enjoy the maximum Life.

A POSITIVE FRAME OF MIND ~Lake Sacajawea Hike

I woke up this morning in a positive state of mind … and that mood stayed with me all day long.

I’m confident it is here to stay 😊

For a while – too long – positivity stayed just on the fringes of my grasp; there were times I felt it was within reach … only to find it skittering away again on the winds of life’s upheavals.

But, while walking around Lake Sacajawea this morning, I felt a definite change taking place; a firmer settling of my inner being; a brighter outlook.

Not only will I be working harder in 2022 to shed those pesky pounds I gained in 2021 burning up the road, and eating on the road; but I will be working harder to keep my Spirit balanced and healed by a positive state of mind.

Lake Trail Hike.
There was a message for me at the Lake this morning.

There was an available parking spot … so I nipped into it 😉

I walked around the entire Lake.

My legs held up; and my Spirit was buoyed up.

Middle section; I generally park the Highlander in the Kessler Blvd. parking lot, and start from here.
A pink Azalea has already burst into bloom; the Azalea and Rhododendron Garden - middle Lake section.
A bit of cuteness.
A retro dash of flash; I'm a sucker for vintage automobiles - and I love bright colors.
Lion's Island is open for foot traffic.
Location of Lion's Island, Lake Sacajawea - Longview-WA
Some extra 'milage' on my Lake Hike today ...
Middle portion of the Lake; view from entrance of Lion's Island.
Totem pole at end point of Lion's Island.
Colorful Wigeon ducks; drake with yellow stripe, and his plain red-headed hen mate.
It's time to start redeeming the time ...
Lake Sacajawea Basketball Court.
Memorial Plaque.
Here, I made a decision to walk the entire hike route.
Lower end return loop, past hospital and back towards Ocean Beach end of Trail.
Switching old water gates out for new, updated ones.
Making the 'downtown' return Loop curve; Left = freeway access Striaght on = Lewis & Clark Bridge to OR, & Right = Ocean Beach Highway, home.
The opposite side of the Park can easily be seen as you hike the trail.
The heather is in bloom - and new foliage growth is showing bright.
There is no over-street crosswalk here, so I'll duck under the bridge to bypass traffic.
Keep your head covered walking under here - notice the brid droppings along the fenceline! A mating pair of geese swam by ...
Back to Lion's Island – this time on the Nichols Blvd. side of the Lake.
These courting geese got very loud, very quickly when other water fowl got too close to them; Canadian Geese.
Sacajawea & Pomp Statue; Lake Footbridge & Nichols Boulevard - by RA Long High School, across the street. Sacajawea & Pomp Info (Sacajawea’s info at tail-end of writ: follow the prompts: http://www.sacagawea-biography.org/jean-baptiste-charbonneau-pomp/)
Upper end of Trail, which loops back to the Kessler Blvd. Lake Parking Lot; the end of my 4-mile hike.
A direct halfway mark on Nichols Blvd. of where I started this hike, on the opposite Kessler Blvd. Parking Lot.
Foot traffic in the Japanese Garden area of Lake Sacajawea Park (zoomed in); Japanese Garden background info -
Ocean Beach Highway - upper loop of the Lake Hike; final leg back to the Highlander.
A Herring Gull - the size of a chicken.
A black-billed Juvenile Western Gull info:
The Trail hike can easily be stretched to a 4-mile hike; which I tend to do ðŸ˜‰

I enjoyed my morning hike.

All of my being feels refreshed, and fully engaged in a positive frame of mind 😊
