UNIQUE

Bob had a unique dance step – it took me some time to find the rhythm and dance slow dances smoothly with him.

I liked the dance step, but it was different: I didn't pick it up easily.

It was unique.

Like the man …

Bob was unique.

So, until I “got it down” … Bob would lift me and set my feet on top of his, and dance me around the dance floor like that ;-)

Man!

I MISS my man :-(

OH, THE FUN WE HAD!

We had FUN with this song!

There used to be a diner/lounge across the river in Rainier, and we used to go there on weekends – there was a live band and I liked to dance.

Sometime during the evening, Bob would request this song, and everyone knew what to expect.

Bob & I had a routine we would do when we danced to this dance ;-)

In the beginning, it started out we were just having fun … and then, over time, people that came to the lounge kinds expected it from us: so, we delivered. LOL!

They gave us the whole floor until the song was done – and we were done clowning around.

We mimed the entire song – kinda like a dance skit.

We had fun – the other patrons had fun – the band had fun.

Bob didn’t mind me wearing that little black mini skirt then!

And Bob could growl exactly like Roy … and he did while following my miniskirt across that dance floor :-D

HE GAVE ME EVERYTHING WITHIN HIS POWER TO GIVE

Bob was willing to give me everything he could – within his power to do so.

I had to be very careful not to take advantage of that.

And I was.

Bob was a good man; I was a good wife.

**********

Every time I look into your lovely eyes
I see a love that money just can't buy
One look from you, I drift away
I pray that you are here to stay

Anything you want, you got it
Anything you need, you got it
Anything at all, you got it
Baby

Every time I hold you, I begin to understand
Everything about you tells me I'm your man
I live my life to be with you
No one can do the things you do

Anything you want, you got it
Anything you need, you got it
Anything at all, you got it
Baby

Anything you want
Anything you need
Anything at all

I'm glad to give my love to you
I know you feel the way I do

Anything you want, you got it
Anything you need, you got it
Anything at all, you got it
Baby [x2]

Anything at all
Baby
You got it

ME & YOU

I was walking around the Lake downtown the other day with a friend, and she asked me, "Val, did you always know it was Bob? Always?"

And I said, "Always."

And she asked how we met ... and I told her.

I saw him at the corner of the Grade School in 1967 - fell head over heels. I was a lost cause .... waaaaay gone. LOL Then, I met him 7 years later; David Almer introduced me to him on Main Street - literally ran Bob across the road to meet me: and I ignored him because I was seeing someone else, and wasn't interested! Stupid me. But, really, Elohim was safeguarding the 2 of us. A few months later, in March, Doug Moss literally threw Bob & I together when he insisted I be at a kegger he was throwing at the house he was renting a room at: I almost didn't go ... but destiny was at work ;-) I went - Bob showed up - I carded Bob because he was obviously too old to be where we underagers were ... AND REALIZED IT WAS THE FACE my heart pined for. I spilled the beans to Bob about the school corner peekaboo/Bob laughed and was intrigued/we spent the rest of the evening talking in a quiet corner of his livingroom/he walked me home to make my midnight curfew. Bob called me in April to ask me out for a real date, and I went. Except for Bob's work hours, we were never apart after that.

She said, "Wow, Val: you really did marry your dream man."

And I said, "Yep. I sure did. And he never let the fantasy die. Bob was my man. Forever."

There is no room in my heart for anyone else - Bob's love fills every chamber.

It will always be "Me & You".

Forever.
