SATURDAY SHENANIGANS ~ Daytrip Jam Session

A few days ago, I was invited to an upcoming Jam Session.

I really wasn’t sure, until this morning, whether I would go or not.

I hadn’t been to a Jam Session since 1974 – before I met Bob 😉

I have good friends: they don’t like me to be alone/alone; they make sure to include me in activities they know I would enjoy 😊

So, I set the alarm clock; showered, dressed, and hit the road for a new adventure.

I’m not going to name Names, give the location of the get-together, or share pictures … because of covid mandates. All I am going to post is that we bucked the restrictions, and met in the country.

But, I will say this: the building was 108 years old (a nice building), and it was at the end of a road that inclined – that’s {it}; that’s all you’re gonna get 😉

I saw a handful of people there that I knew; the rest were strangers – new to me, in the moment (we became fast friends by the day’s end).

Some of the people gathering were locals; some came some distance to gather. I learned about a place I did not know existed: Dallas, Oregon.

A new song was born this afternoon 😊

It was fun to watch, and enjoy the process.

A potluck break gave opportunity to learn a little more about each other. I still did not talk about my growing up years … but I did throw out some insightful tidbits to various queries.

Everyone was swapping stories about small town life. One question asked was, “Did you grow up in a small town, and how many people were there, if you did?”

I believe I took the prize when I said, “Yes, I did. The name of the small town was Togo, Minnesota … with a population of 20 people. I’m serious. There was a store-tavern-post office all together in one small building, at the junction of the main road; miles from our house. And a one-room schoolhouse, where grades K to 8^th Grade were taught in marked sections of the large room: the Teacher taught all grades, moving from “class to class” from the start of the school day to the end of it. We shared a party-line-phone; it was an antique phone with a wooden wall box, a crank handle connection to an operator – who would then {plug in} our party at her end: we spoke into a horn mouthpiece. Once a week the women would hold hour’s long chat sessions … and occasionally throughout the week, my mother could be heard saying, ‘get off the line Effie, this is a private conversation.’”

The population has since increased to a considerable count; the old school building is now a private residence, and the phones have been updated.

My family eventually moved out of Togo … to Cohasset – and then to Coleraine, Minnesota; before moving to Washington State, where I have lived most of my life to date (and 44 years of my life with Bob). But I never forgot Togo: it was an isolated life, there, but it was also wondrously magic in its own unique way 😉

I would live that small-town lifestyle today, if I could. But, Elohei has other Plans for my life: I’ve tried to sell and move back to the country, He has always put the brakes on. So, I’ll build a life here in Longview – but my heart and thoughts will always reroute back to the countryside.

The Jam Session lasted 3 hours – and those hours were filled with inner circle shenanigans (not snotty inner circle snobbishness, but a secret gathering of friends sticking it to the government tyrants); music that fed the soul; laughter that filled the rooms; and friendship strengthened/forged.

That was a BLAST.

Today’s restive and refreshing shenanigans, were a great ending to the Shabbat Rest 😊

WARP SPEED

Today has been filled with warp speed activity.

I first noticed it when I walked into exercise class this morning – I had heard that the seniors, meeting, had started a different mode of exercise on Fridays … so I thought I’d drop in this morning and see what they were doing Friday mornings.

I’ll be skipping Fridays in Castle Rock 😉

I’ll be exercising at home on upcoming Friday’s: low key, and old-school 😊

I'm just not capable of aerobics & yoga with the body I have.

I'll be doing slo-mo Friday moves at home with YouTube vids, and the treadmill I recently bought 😉

And old-school fitness with old-school tunes.

Driving home I decided to swerve off my usual route; onto 14^th, and nip over to ‘Thai in Town’ at the strip mall there. I called in my order for pickup. It was so noisy, the girl taking my order was shouting in my ear; and I was shouting back so she could hear me. I don’t know if they are remodeling, or what, but it was loud in the restaurant … and over the phone. Much of what I wanted to order, they no longer do – I was disappointed. I came away with Black Pepper Chicken, and Thai Iced Tea with Tapioca Pearls (the chicken will go into the freezer).

I then drove to Hart C’s Thai, and ordered Chicken Chow Mein, there. MPO is that Hart C’s Thai is the best Thai food in town – it’s authentic ethnic food, and I’ve known the family for decades 😊

I was also happy to see that this immigrant family – who was happy to become actual legalized American Citizens – supports America and American Rights 100%.

They do not whine and bitch about racism.

They do not think they should get unlimited lifetime freebies at the exorbitant expense of Americans who were born in America.

They do not believe anyone should apologize for their skin color.

Private life is private – they are serving food; not sexual cocktails that blurs the lines of reality, and causes friction among the patrons.

They believe in freedom of choice.

They are happy and proud to be Americans – they are unapologetically Filipinos, but they are also unapologetically Americans.

These mugs are obviously a grassroots product: it’s refreshing to know that I am not the only one feeling like WE – The People – need to stir the populace up/wake them up/and fight back to get our country back.

The People need to actively engage to push back the obamanite darkness that is running rampant and unchecked across America … and the globe, at large.

meghan markle has been making noise that she wants to get involved in politics and make a grab at the Presidency: since becoming a royal Windsor, she can’t legally make that move … but neither could obama, since he too, was a foreign {prince} – but that legality did not stop his three coups.

And now, it appears the Prince William and Kate are also throwing their hats in the ring for American political power.

The british monarchy is forbidden to enmesh themselves into American politics … and expressly forbidden in our Constitution to be allowed to sit in our government seats.

And yet: that is exactly what is happening.

barak hussain obama has been very busily involved in the lives of the windsor’s since his two illegal coups in the 2009, and 2017 – and currently his third coup, using dementia biden as his tool. The obama’s ingratiated themselves with the windsors – so much so, that michael felt completely comfortable putting his hands on the queen. And harry has been very vocal about barak befriending him – and giving his advice and a push to marry markle.

The obama’s and markle are going to be a nail in America’s coffin (and will use the biden-harris shitshow as their cover to get in position for an outright political onslaught) if The People do not wake up and rise up. ASAP.

And to top everything else off, the social media talking heads, have made a big deal, all day long, of telling us that biden met with the pope.

Catholisim and islam walk hand-in-hand: both religions create demigods, and teach a doctrine birthed in Hell.

There is a vast difference between catholicism-islam, and Christianity.

And that is why islam and catholism persecutes Christians.

For my children, grandchildren, and friends’ sakes … I pray Elohim pulls the emergency break quickly and effectively; or that He activates Yeshua’s Rapture feature.
