GOOD NEWS DAY ~The House Sold!

Karen Peck - 'Mighty Big God' song:

Holland has been wheezing for months (I hear it most when I am cuddled across his chest), and the past few days he's been hawking up dirty mucus (yellowish or greenish = definite bronchial infection) - it hurts him to breathe; so this morning I talked him into making a Dr. appointment to find out what the issue is. If the house sale is finalized today, there won't be a lot of time to fool around with things he's been procrastinating about.

I believe Elohim heals our bodies, too, but I also believe that we need to know what is going on with our bodies so that we can pray effectively toward that healing.

The receptionist said that he could be seen in about half an hour if that was agreeable: he took the slot, even though he had to rush to make it on time. We were both irritated that he would be put into a quarantine room once he arrived - there was no need for that, other than lingering covid hysteria.

Holland made a Dr. appt. today to have his lungs checked out.
The receptionist that took his call went into full-on-covid alert
We prayed before he left, trusting Elohim to favor us.

I watched him drive out of the carport, then I shook my head at the clinic's foolishness … and walked down the hallway to get dressed: Shay would be coming sometime this morning to let me know if we would be moving - and to go over the final steps of sale closure.

Holland called from the clinic's quarantine room to say that he had been so rushed to get to the open doctor's appointment, that he had forgotten to take his blood pressure meds - if the doctor thinks his blood pressure is up to high, he will be kept overnight. So, we prayed: I asked Elohim to send Holland peace in this situation to keep his blood pressure down, and that the doctor would give a correct diagnosis and not just label his issue as covid.  He added, "I'm sorry Baby that I forgot to leave my pickup keys for you in case you have to go someplace; I was so caught up in making this appointment." I said, "Don't worry about it, hon. If someone shows up, they are just going to have to walk around me - we still live here, and I still own the space." Then we said, "I love you" to each other and hung up.

I had peace about whatever was going on (Dr. appointment & possible house sale); I knew Elohim was already {on the job} ;-)

COPD INFO: https://regencyhealthcare.in/blogs-by-regencys-doctors/copd-explained-blog-regency-healthcare-ltd/

What is COPD life expectancy? Many people will live into their 70s, 80s, or 90s with COPD.” But that's more likely, he says, if your case is mild and you don't have other health problems like heart disease or diabetes. Some people die earlier as a result of complications like pneumonia or respiratory failure. I'm hoping and praying for at least 20 more days and nights with Holland - we are refudiating COPD in our lives. He was told in 2012 that he had 6 weeks to live … he's still kicking - and I'm not letting him go without a fight ;-)

With a positive mindset, I prepared for the day; in case someone showed up to look the house over.

Mood enhancers.
'Pearl' for eyebrow highlight & 'Plum' for eyelid color; Glittery 'Purple' for eyelid accent color; 'Sunshine' for center accent color'; & 'Navy Blue' for liners; 'Auburn' Eyebrow Gel; 'Burgundy' Mascara; & 'Neutre Enflamme' Cream Blush.
Sequined top matches my fancy eyes. LOL
Ready to meet the day …

I had just put the hairspray away, when I heard the Highlander backing into the carport: Holland had not been quarantined long before seeing his doctor, since he was already back home :-)

First thing he said to me was, "It isn't covid - but we already knew that. And it isn't bronchitis or pneumonia, either." I shot him a look full of questions, and he said, "She said she doesn't know what it is … but she knows what it is not. She thinks it's related to COPD, but we won't claim that - I've been in the clear concerning COPD for a long time, now; but she did write out a prescription for some antibiotics and that should knock it out." I said, "Take the meds, and we'll sic Elohim on the COPD devil. As soon as this house is 100% sold, we'll head South where the air will be better for both of us; and the foul air of Longview can go suck eggs."

Smoking and air pollution are the most common causes of COPD: neither of us smoke, but on this end of Longview, we do get pollution drift from the mills.

No covid. No COPD; Doc doesn't know WHY Holland is struggling with issues.
We really NEED this house to sell as asking price. We need to leave Longview's pollution behind us.

My cell alerted me that I had a message.

I shot out of the recliner I was lounging in, and shouted, "YES! Thank You, Elohim for Your faithfulness!" Then I giddily informed Holland of Shay's happy message :-)

YES! Elohim always comes thru for me!! There has NEVER been a time - in 57 years (since I've been a Christian), that Elohim has let me down. Nada. He always, always, always comes thru for me :-)

I can already smell the clean, fresh air - and feel the warmth of the sunshine of the Southwest, as it beckons us ;-)

A BLESSED DAY

What a day! The blessings just came … following one after the other: it was like I’d won the lottery 😉

I was dressed and outside bright and early, getting the car washed; as soon as it was considerate to be outside making noise – I was 😊

Car washing day ...

Then, having finally saved enough $$$$ to reorder the same glasses I smashed to pieces, six weeks ago; I drove into town to get that order placed, and got a real nice surprise: the girl said that since they were practically brand new (I got them in May) when I broke them, she would “just warranty them out, and it won’t cost you a thing to have them replaced.”

((((THANK YOU, FATHER!))))

So, I put half of what I’d diligently saved, into savings … and kept the other half for gas money – and grocery/miscellaneous money.

Ordered my new glasses – again (the exact same style) – and then I was off to Warrenton-OR, to go shopping!
My glasses will be replaced for FREE!
Blessings are good.

I drove to Warrenton, Oregon. No particular reason other than I haven’t been there since last summer, and this summer is practically gone: so, I went because it’s a nice drive, and the Mall Complex there is fun to kick around in 😊

While I was store hopping, I bought some bottles and teething rings to tuck into the boxes I'm preparing for the Caring Pregnancy Center; and I saw that there were several pairs of colorful jeggings in just the colors I have been hoping to find. So, I bought them – half of them were on sale. When I bought my first few pairs of jeggings, I wasn’t very happy that that was all the stores were stocking during the covid lockdown hysteria … but after wearing them for a year-and-a-half, I find that I like them better than regular, straight-leg-jeans. They’re comfy; and I don’t look frumpy in them. Some people may wonder why I wear them with the curvaceous shape I have, but I dress for me: if their eyes are offended, they can look elsewhere.

I’ve got curves front and back, and the loose clothes I wore in the past made me look shorter and fatter than I actually am. MPO is that body-hugging/stretch jeggings seem to have a slimming effect on curvy women; especially petite ones, like myself. Regular leg, regular cut straight-leg pants are not my friends.

I also snagged a handful of mascaras I’ve been looking high and low for, for years 😉 Again, people may wonder ‘why?’ … but I don’t care. I dress for me, and I like the colors.

After my laps around the Warrenton Mall Complex, I decided to try a new Thai food restaurant. I heard about it last year, but never found the time to make time to visit it – this afternoon, I made time 😉

What a treat! The pineapple rice is delicious … and it tastes like it’s been charred. SO GOOD! I ate two fried spring rolls, and half the pineapple rice before the ‘crying tiger’ dish arrived; so, I asked that to be boxed up – and I’ll have it for Supper tomorrow.

Learning my way around ...
Something NEW ðŸ˜Š Nisa’s Thai Kitchen, in Warrenton-OR. A definite repeat!
Thai Fried Spring Rolls, Thai Tea, and Pineapple Fried Rice - SO GOOD!
'Crying Tiger' dish; marinaded steak with Special House Sauce - tomorrow's Supper.

I also stopped at a thrift store on my way home to grab some costume jewelry. I can’t have metal on my skin. Elohim was gracious and merciful when it came to wearing my wedding ring; but wearing glasses can get tricky when the metal arm hinges touch my skin – there have been times when removing my glasses also removed a patch of skin along the sides of my face: the metal acts like acid on my skin, and literally peels skin away when the metal is lifted off my face, neck, wrist, or earlobes (I eventually just let my ear piercings grow back solid); I had spendy solid gold ear studs on my earrings, but my ears still swelled up, oozed, and peeled … if I risked wearing them on the few occasions we went out after becoming parents (I wasn’t keen on babysitters for our daughter), Bob would end up carrying them home in his shirt pocket. My body just can’t tolerate metals on, or in, it

I found some nice-looking bracelets, and a necklace with a sliding leather neck band.

I can’t wait to start wearing everything I purchased! I’m on the downside of 60, and 70 is coming up fast – I am going to be outrageously colorful as long as I carry it off.

I like color in my life. Lots of it.

ALL the colors I have prayed to find! Thank You, Lord!
No metal, & very colorful ...
This chunky necklace has a slip-cord to loosen, or tighten, the necklace.

My day today – from start to finish – was truly blessed.

LIFE AMONG THE RUINS

The month of May is going to be c.r.a.z.y.b.u.s.y. … a lot going on; so, today I decided to drive to Eden Valley and collect the memorial grave vases; so they could be replaced with newer/updated ones for the family plots.

First, I needed to prepare myself mentally.

Then I needed to grab some coffee on the way out of town.

And I needed music – music that I could jack the volume up and just let it rip. I thumbed through the disc folders until I found a CD that would fit the mood of the moment: then I slipped it into the player, stepped on the gas petal, and made tracks for my destination.

Going to Eden Valley to collect the flower vases for refills.
Rocky Road sounds good ... emotionally, it will be a 'rocky' day, today.
Eden Valley Cemetery from Longview - via Ocean Beach Highway & WA-4 W; 2 hr 10 min (102.10 mi). Straight there and back, no side roads.
Music for the road ... Bob's handwriting makes me smile; and it keeps the memory of him present.

I played that CD all the way to the Eden Valley Cemetery 😊

Enroute, driving the Eden Valley Road, I spotted a Bald-headed Eagle.

Memories of Bob in the flesh were poignant as the music blared.

Thoughts of Bob now, in his spirit body were also poignant; and I knew as I watched the eagle take flight, that Bob was thoroughly enjoying his life above the clouds. Bob always loved to fly (he was only 20 hours away from getting his pilot’s license when we married: it was his choice to let that aspiration fall by the wayside – I encouraged him to continue the instruction) … no doubt he’s having the time of his life in the great blue yonder. And beyond 😉

Eden Valley; Iron Butterfly, 'Mirage' song.
Iron Butterfly – ‘My Mirage’ song:
Eden Valley Road, Rosburg-WA
Bald-headed Eagle.

The entire mood of the moment was pure Bob. Bob loved Iron Butterfly. Bob loved Eagles. Bob loved Yeshua; and I am sure Bob loves palling around with Yeshua, now. Bob is not unhappy in his New Life.

And I am trying to get happy in my New Life, down here on Earth. It’s a continual work in progress, and I have made good leaps and bounds in that forward progression. I really have nothing to complain about, in this New Life of mine: Elohim had been very gracious – and faithful.

I just miss Bob.

In the flesh.

Thankfully, The Ruach Ha’Kodesh doesn’t let my thoughts dwell on that.

My wandering thoughts are firmly reined in, and redirected.

As I walk from family plot to family plot, finally reaching our Plot … my thoughts are focused on Life.

There is life flourishing in this place of ruin (death is ruination of everything we have known before the Grim Reaper came to collect on our life’s mortgage). And though my husband’s cremains lie here, I know that Bob’s spirit is fully alive and enjoying life as he never experienced Life before.

Joy is the flip-side of sadness.

I am thankful to see so much of life’s force blossoming abundantly 😊

Eden Valley Pioneer Cemetery; Iron Butterfly, 'Termination'.
Iron Butterfly – ‘Termination’ song:
Wildflower Wood Hyacinths outside the perimeters ...
Grandpa & Grandma Smalley's Bouquet collected.
Dad Hargand's Bouquet collected.
Bob's Bouquet collected ...
Someone left a b.i.g. flocked bow exactly where Bob's cremains lie; I don’t know who, but I thank them – and by the looks of it, it’s been there a couple months.
Today's gatherings will be replaced with updated new bouquets.
More Wood Hyacinths - inside the cemetery perimeters.
Purple hued ornamental Maple bursting with color.
White Daffodils.
Rhododendron tree in full bloom; busy bees buzzing from blossom to blossom urged me to keep moving ...

I like to keep Bob’s Plot Solar Light jazzed up, or replaced; so I brought that home to see if it still has life in it 😉 I also noticed that there was a solar light at Dad Hargand’s headstone – and I know that I didn’t place the lamp at Dad’s plot, or the big blue bow at Bob’s placement: both have been deliberately placed … I’d like to find out who did it, and thank them for being thoughtful.

Back home, I set the solar lights aimed at the sunrays: if they don’t spark, I have some others that I can take back to Eden Valley with me later this month.

Placed in direct line of sunlight ... if these lamps are played out, they will be replaced.

The solar lights kinda reflect our relationship with Elohim: our lives only catch a spark of life when we stayed tuned to the Sonlight 😊
