SPEND YOUR TIME WISELY

This morning, after listening to my weekly news update (I only allow myself one of those “news” updates), I washed that nonsense out of my hair/got dressed/and visited with friends for a good part of the day.

There were no more sleeveless tops in the closet, so I chose a top I hoped wouldn’t get stuck to my healing shoulder wound – I only do laundry every two weeks … and my stupidity bruising episode, happened fairly recently (last Tuesday morning); the sleeveless tops I need still need a few more days drying time. I like my clothes dry-dry; and they tend to shrink in the dryer, so I line dry them (plus, they fit over my breasts area more comfortably when not dried in the dryer 😉).

My biggest hurdle with the bruising is my bra strap ...
The tops I need ... need a bit more hanging time.
Wearing this gauzy top today because all my sleeveless tops are still drying ...
59-degrees with 95-percent humidity!

I spent about 2 hours with friends at Oak Point, then on my way home I got a call inviting me to Supper out Coal Creek; my friends in the country there, had not yet seen my bruising, though they knew about it.

So, when I sat down in a patio chair on their sunny patio, the first thing said in unison was: ‘Let us see’ – and I showed them (removing my sunglasses, and lifting my top sleeve), laughing while I told then how it all happened – ending with, “I feel so stupid.”

My ‘Blame It On The Moon’ Post: https://jeastofeden.blogspot.com/2022/07/blame-it-on-moon.html

Bless F’s heart, he hauled out his cell phone and showed me pictures of his falling snafu, saying, “At our age, we need to slow down and not be in such a hurry: we don’t bounce like we used to”.

Agreed 😉

My face scrape ‘scabbing’ sloughed off this afternoon.

I have been blessed with good friends 😊

I spent another 2 hours in the country, a little closer to home; before parking the car in the carport back home that claimed some of my face and shoulder skin a few days ago.

I changed my sandals for flip-flops, and went outside to water my flowerbeds and garden area.

The garden hose was seriously leaking at the hose and water-wand junction. Several times I turned the water off and tried to figure out what the problem was – eventually, I settled on the thought that the rubber washer was missing (a memory of Bob replacing these things in the kitchen faucet when water sprayed everywhere, popped into my thoughts); I looked all around the area the water-wand had been resting between uses. Nothing. So, I finished watering the garden: getting my pant leg and flip-flops wet.

The flowers in the front flowerbeds are spotty (some died off following the surprise late-season snow); my flowerbeds look like they have mange. The veggie plantings are struggling to get up to speed, due to the late-season sowing (most of my onion transplants died due to the torrential rainfall that followed the aforementioned snow – and it’s too late to replant). All that is really thriving is the apples trees, blueberry bushes, strawberries (behind schedule), and nasturtiums.

Golden Purslane & Miner's Letuce; great in salads - good to eat right out of the garden ;-)
Peach Sorbet Blueberry; lots of big, fat, juicy, sweet-tasting berries!
June bearing strawberries makiing an appearance; spit bug activity.
Nasturtium; leaves make a nice peppery addition to salads - flowers are edible, too.

As I turned off the faucet, and was rolling the hose up for storage in its basket … I saw the black rubber washer in the basket bottom. So, I slipped it back in place 😉

Sealing Washers.

It was an eventful day today.

Some of the stuff learned was frustratingly annoying – like the news: I gave it little time to eat into my day.

‘Is There a Vaccine for Donkeypox?’ Post: https://jeastofeden.blogspot.com/2022/07/is-there-vaccine-for-donkeypox.html

Some stuff was highly enjoyable – like shooting the breeze with friends.

Some stuff was dutifully necessary – like watering the gardens, and hoping my tender bruised areas wouldn’t get sunburned and complicate the healing process.

The shoulder scabbing will take longer.
Everything is right on schedule in the Healing Department; it really looks worse than it actually IS. My pride suffered the most damage ;-)

Some stuff was done while stretching my comfort zone a bit – like talking to a semi-stranger on the phone (semi, because we’ve only ever communicated on FB; this evening I called his hospital room to see how he’s doing). I knew him briefly in high school, and I know he doesn’t have anyone in his life at the moment … and a lengthy hospital stay can wear on the nerves and emotions.

He came into my life 3½ years ago, and encouraged me with kindness and shared his memories of Bob with me through the first year of widowhood; if I can help him in this small way (a voice on the airwaves), that is what friends are for.

IS THERE A VACCINE FOR DONKEYPOX?

I check the news sources about once week – to find out {where we are} on the global scene, and to find out what new level of Hell the obamanites have catapulted us to.

The 3rd obama coup never fails to show their asses: figuratively, as well as literally.

Pathetic depths of delusion America has sunk to ...

Thought (1) for the “news”: Womanhood has been erased by the obamanites – and biden’s choice for a Supreme Court Judge cannot define what a woman IS … {Woman of the Year} is a moot point, and a hallow {win} at this point in History: there is NO win for something that is no longer recognized, defined, understandable, or embraced.

A male, no matter how delusional he is, cannot ever be a female by simply wearing a wig/growing a long mane of hair & shaving his face’s biological 5 o’clock shadow; donning over-sized women’s apparel; castrating himself physically or mentally; speaking in a high-pitched-falsetto voice he assumes a natural woman sounds like; or high-jacking a woman’s sport event because he cannot win on a men’s team.

Males will always be male. That fact cannot realistically be altered; even in a delusional fantasy.

People with mental illness need help – not to be erroneously celebrated by the foolish sector of society, for their sad twisted mindset.

William Thomas is NOT – nor will he ever BE a “woman”. HIS Name change is bogus, just like the bogus reality he is attempting to portray.

And across the world (thought 2), a Norwegian feminist woman is facing three years prison time, for stating as much.

Norwegian woman facing 3-year jail term for stating men are not women:

obamanites – intent of foisting insane ridiculousness here at home, are doing their damndest to implement Norway’s INtolerant actions towards naysayers here, in America, too.

But as long as we have The Constitution of The United States of America, they are being thwarted, despite the obamanite congress putting themselves forward as self-made-kings and queens.

Thought (3): transgenders are high-jacking dinosaurs, like the queers before them high-jacked the rainbow; forbidding anyone else to mention, or like dinosaurs.

Dinosaur Ownership Transcript:https://www.wbur.org/endlessthread/2022/01/14/fight-for-dinosaur-emoji

Obviously, these poor mentally ill people don’t understand that the God they despise and reject created the rainbow as well as the dinosaurs.

queerfolk do NOT {own} the rainbow.

queerfolk do NOT {own} dinosaurs.

Crazy transpeople trying to highjack dinosaurs for political posturing.
transpeople claiming dinosaurs as 'ours' - exclusively.

queerfolk cannot {own} womanhood by erasing womanhood.

But … queerfolk CAN OWN biden, who is as clearly clueless as his obamanite devotees: those of us who dwell in the Land of Reality don’t want biden 😉

queerfolk feel 'violated' and 'attacked' when other people use dinosaur emoji's.
The leftist nutcases can HAVE dinoman joe!

America is in a bad place at the moment – and even though I am laughing at the ridiculousness, I do recognize that serious matters are no laughing matter.

We are in a seriously bad place in American History.

I may not be able to change the course of rampant insanity cloaking America – and the world at large – but I can change the course of things in my small corner of the world.

I shut the laptop down: I’d had my fill of {news}; time to get away from the craziness for a while 😊

Venus Hum – ‘Look’ {way up the mountain} song:(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hd4dsXalzE)

I took pictures (and didn’t fall, this time). I spent the afternoon with beloved friends … and later, stepped out of my comfort zone, when I made a phone call to uplift a stranger’s mood (scary, but worth the risk – both of us were gifted by the convo 😉): life is too precious to waste, and breath is too precious to use talking about worthless matters.

GTD ~Getting Things Done

Even though today is the last day of Shabbat Rest … I had stuff to get done: so, I did that – with no guilt, whatsoever.

Yeshua understands that: and no other opinion matters 😉

Today I needed to get laundry done. I do laundry every two weeks, since there is only me now – and I prefer doing a full load of laundry instead of a handful of clothing at a time.

I’ve worn all the sleeveless – and cut-sleeve tops I have, to keep my wounded shoulder free for liberal lubrications; I had one free for today, and that can be washed by hand tomorrow, and hung to dry on the shower bar 😊

Floral print trumpet-sleeve-cut-sleeve top, with black Bermuda shorts & 2-tone sandals.
I’m SO glad I bought all these cut-sleeve tops! They are perfect for keeping my shoulder wound lubricated while it heals.
My face is healing quicker than anticipated; hopefully next week, the bruising will be faded and gone. Every day I look and feel better than the day before.

Throught the morning hours, I got phone calls from friends who had not known about my bruising until they checked FB this morning – and after asking me, “What the hell happened to you?” … and hearing the story, followed by my “I feel so stupid, but I’m really okay. It looks worse than it is” … they told me some of their fall-down & bruise stories; and we got to laughing, chasing the {stoopids} away 😉

I also needed to go outside and check my garden area for watering … but, first I needed a cup of coffee, or a cup of tea. I chose green tea, for its healing abilities.

Green Tea with lemon.

While I was sipping tea and switching laundry loads, I noticed that Park Maintenance was painting the speed bumps: guess I’ll be staying home from fellowship tomorrow instead of going with my friend ☹

It will take a while for the paint to dry.

While I was properly dressed (not wearing Pj’s all day long), and up and down with the laundry loads; I decided to hang a birdhouse and wind spinner on my Mr. Sun Shepherd’s Hook that Bob secured to one of my garden boxes, 4 years ago.

Don Carlos – ‘Mr. Sun’ song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWXTQ9laBPc

Bob was a good husband to me, and I will always thank Elohim for the privilege of having his love.

I hung these things with a smile on my face, and a happy salute to the sky 😊

I hung the bird house (Chick Inn Birdhouse purchase Post: https://jeastofeden.blogspot.com/2021/11/cowboy-up.html) I bought last Fall ... as well as the whirligig, also bought last Summer (Spinner Whirligig Post: https://jeastofeden.blogspot.com/2021/06/that-still-small-voice.html).

This Shabbat was a good one – even if it was a busy one; and busy as it was, it was still relaxing 😉

FUNNY BONE TICKLED

My morning started off with a text from a friend inviting me to Fellowship Sunday morning – she’ll be picking me up on her way through town 😊

Then I spent 2 hours of afternoon time chatting with a Rosburg friend; and begged off meeting her for Supper at the Duck Inn, due to the moon’s influence on my appearance 😉 My face is healing quickly, so we made plans for next week.

Music lured me out-of-house this evening, and off to the Jam Session on Spruce Creek.

I could finally wash my hair today! I had to give the eyebrow glue time to {set} before I could get water near it.
A touch of lip color ... that’s easy to clean off a sore face ðŸ˜‰
Ready to meet the public; I chose this blouse because the cut-out-sleeves allows me to keep my bruised shoulder moistened with coconut oil.

A few people at the session had already seen my face – and heard the story of how it happened, so I was comfortable showing it.

‘Blame It On The Moon’ Post: https://jeastofeden.blogspot.com/2022/07/blame-it-on-moon.html

Some of the others were shocked when they saw it … and more than a bit curious; they know I am a Widow, and that I don’t date. But my face did look like suspicious activity had taken place.

G & R both asked me, “What happened to you?”, and J replied in a deadpan tone, “She shut the bar down Tuesday morning; you should see the guy she took to task.”

Trick Pony – ‘Just What I Do’ song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhJAggohYv8

More shocked looks aimed at my face. They also know that I am a Christian, and though I can get snippily feisty when pushed too far, I don’t engage in fisticuffs. J and I started laughing so hard we were almost howling as our funny bones were tickled by the startled expressions on G & R’s faces, and I finally found the breath to explain to them about the lure of the moon the other night that landed me in ER at 3 A.M. When we all got done laughing, and wiped our eyes – everyone grabbed their instruments and got down to the business of music 😊

It was a good 2½ hours of time well spent. I love these people. I love music. It’s a good gathering of friends wasting time, doing what we like to do. The ideas flow, and the music being composed is a thing of beauty to watch come to life. GG’s voice is missed, but she’ll be back when her husband recovers from his surgery.

It was still light outside when the session wrapped up for the evening. As I left Spruce Creek and Mill Creek roads, I nipped into the turnout at the end of Mill Creek Road to watch a ship pass. Then … I spotted another one near Stella, and drove to Willow Grove to see what kind it was 😉

Songs sprung to mind as I watched both ships - maybe it was just having left the jam session; or the thought of Bob's blue cooler that brought the first one to mind. Maybe it was the thought that Bob always liked watching ships cruising the River. Whatever the reason, my thoughts turned to Bob, and the songs, as I watched the river activity.

I saw this ship go upriver Tuesday afternoon; Mill Creek Road turnout.
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young – ‘Wooden Ships’ song:
Mill Creek Road, Longview-WA
This thing is HUGE, and all I could think is that it looked like Bob's blue carry-lunchbox cooler; I laughed as my funny bone was tickled ðŸ˜Š
See the similarities?
The Glovis Century is a Vehicles Cargo Carrier built in 2012, sailing under the Korean flag.
Curiosity at Germany Creek turnout, led me to Willow Grove.
The river was busy tonight with all kinds of boat action.
Very slow moving vessel I spotted at Germany Creek; and that flag does not at all resemble the USA Flag (I researched the ship’s name at home after leaving Willow Grove).
The vessel ESSAYONS is a Hopper Dredger built in 1983 and reportedly sailing under the Flag of the USA.

In the short period of time it took me to get from one end of the small Willow Grove County Park, to the other end ... that dredger was making a full turn about!

I've never seen a large vessel backup and turn around; that ship backed up quicker than I can make a back up turn, with the Highlander. LOL
Then, it started moving back downriver. Hmmm

As I was leaving Willow Grove, I happened to glance at the car’s dash – and saw a full moon icon winking at me.

That full moon is not going to lure me outside again!

I stuck my tongue out at it, shifted gears, and headed home, allowing my tickled funny bone a chuckle or two.

Another luring face-plant-fall is not going to happen again: from now on, moon viewing/picture framing will be done in the safety of my livingroom 😉
