FRIENDS FOR LIFE ~Traveling Thursdays

Today is my Thursday Coffee Hour in Naselle 😊

I was up very early (6 AM); and extra hour added because of all the road work going on, to make sure I would arrive at 10 AM. I was up, hair washed, face on, flavored coffee in travel mug … and there was even time to spare to fill up the gas tank (just in case I decided to take the long way home later 😉). I was driving down Ocean Beach Highway 15 full minutes before 9 AM. I was stoked; I knew I’d arrive at my destination point early 😊

Walking out the door ...
The day started off with good vibes.
The raging leftists are seriously out of control.

I was making good time, so I made a quick pit stop at the marina in Cathlamet. The totem pole outside the restrooms was brightly painted – the animals are pretty basically the same among the regional PNW totems; and I will often stop and look at them. Some Christians do not. But being around one does not bother me.

Totems are interesting artwork, but their spirits don't frighten me –my God is the Supreme Living God, not a figment of the imagination portrayed in wood.

I got through Cathlamet, Skamokawa, over KM Mountain, and through Graysriver … and was brought up short by road work

From Hill Top Road, to Rosburg Store.

There went my extra time.

I wasn’t terribly late, but I was late. Again. Because of road work; again.

I look forward to Thursdays in Naselle; I like chatting with everyone, and the discussions are always lively. It’s fun to get a different perspective on topics. And it’s fun to share old memoriesand make new memories, too.

R is a new face … and new energy: she is a little dynamo with quick wit and sarcastic charm. I knew B from my teen years; and BZ became a quick, solid friend as the circle expanded and the years anchored our spirits in unity. I am grateful Elohim brought us all together.

R's fingernails - the glitter caught my eye.
Front to Back; B – her husband is a logger; R – widowed, like me, and new to the area; BZ – her husband is a farmer, & Me – foot-loose and fancy free, just hanging with my friends.

While we were chit-chatting, drinking our coffee’s, and discussing the topics of the day … David called and asked what I was doing – I said I was hanging with the girls. He said he was headed to his beach property, and would I like to join him: I said, “okay – if you get here before the hour is up, just drop by, and I’ll follow you in my car”. He’s been talking about his place at the beach for a while, and I’ve had a standing open invitation to drop by, check it out, and visit. Today, I went 😊 David and I have known each other for at least 56 years, and he’s been a good friend to me. He knew Bob even longer than he’s known me.

I followed David to his beach property, and drove a cross-over road I’ve never been on before (not even with Bob, and Bob grew up at the beach); there was no reason to drive that road before this afternoon’s jaunt.

I'm glad I topped the gas tank off before leaving Longview. Today's diversion was Longbeach.
David has a nice piece of beach property. I had expected a sandy beach, and was pleasantly surprised to find a grassy field.

I stayed for about 2 hours; enjoying the company, enjoying the sun (I got burnt some more), enjoying the tranquility of the secluded place, and enjoying the conversations about places we both new and had visited (at different times during our lives); I enjoyed remembering/discussing people we’d both grown up with-palled around with-miss when the Grim Reaper showed up with his calling card. We talked about the cougar roaming Longview, and he showed me the picture he took of a black bear on the property next to his (!). We talked about our families, the pets we’d shared our lives with, politics, ect. It was a good 2 hours of sharing, caring, laughter, and friendship.

Then it was time to hit the road for home. I have a standing appointment on Spruce Creek – Thursday evening Jam Session 😉

The day’s driving was very carefree today: traffic was sparce, and what traffic there was flowed smoothly.

Chinook County Park; low tide.
Driving through Chinook - wave break boulders, & Astoria-Meglar Bridge in the background.

When I got to Skamokawa, I stopped at the Duck Inn to grab a sandwich for Supper, and R was there. So was B; I was snatched as soon as I placed my order, and rushed into one of the back deck cabanas – where I was introduced to a few more people (7 more; they had all drove up from Graysriver for their ‘Thursday Night Get-Together’ for Supper and schmoozing). I ate my sandwich with them, joined in the schmoozing, and was invited to join them every Thursday – I said I’d think about it. It was fun; and it will be fun again because they are all fun people to be around: I may join them every other Thursday, depending on the yo-yoing gas prices.

R invited me to visit with her and B every Friday afternoon, at her house too. That would be enjoyable; but again, every other Friday would be best, I think. If I lived in Graysriver, every Friday would work – but with gas prices being what they are, I can only do what I can do with what I have to work with.

Driving over Beaver Creek Road on my way to Spruce Creek, it looked like it was an ‘open range’ area; a black steer was on the edge of the road/Herford cows laying in the field … and the fence-line was gone for at least a mile: no barb wire to be seen anywhere along that stretch of road. So, I drove very carefully. Open range animals have right of way – and if you hit one, you buy it. When I reached my destination on Spruce Creek, I asked if the Beaver Creek area was now open range, and got startled looks; so, I explained what I had seen and LR jumped on the phone to get his grandson out looking at the fence-line, saying it’s possible an elk herd had taken the wire out. To which I replied: “It would have had to have been a very large herd because the wire was gone for quite a distance – from the corner house just past your house, to Charlene and Allen’s house. Suddenly coming up on cattle in the middle of the road could be dangerous for night drivers.”

The jam session picked up speed, and watching everyone I thought what a blessing they were to me and how fortunate I am to have them in my life.

I am truly blessed with a rich abundance of friends.

GRAMMA CELEBRATES THE 4th

I love the 4th of July 😊

Our great Nation was born on the 4th of July, 1776 – and I love “getting in the groove” of the Holiday 😉

America had been going through a rough patch since the 2009 Election Steal that rushed barak hussain obama into a House & a Seat he had no right to; the ridiculous and time-$$$$$$$ wasting obamanite impeachment circus that ate up pretty much ALL of President Trump’s years in Office; and the suspiciously released covid-19 strain on America, which seriously amounts to a chemical warfare attack the obamanites used (and no doubt had a hand in releasing) to power-grab another Presidential Election for a third obama coup … yes, Americans have been having a rough time of it the past 14 years, 7 months, & 11 hours to date.

But this year, there are several things to be happy about, with the recent Supreme Court emergency brake being pulled on a lot of the obama-biden cartel agenda 😊

It seems that things are on the up-swing in America, again.

So, this year, I am celebrating in Holiday style: in dress, and with friends all day long 😉

Pearl for eyebrow highlight & Mauve for eyelid color.
Glittery Navy Blue for eye 'liner'.
Glittery lipstick.

CREATE HAPPINESS ~Enjoy Your Day

My day’s Plans were on schedule: I was up bright and early – and out of the shower in record time, makeup on, out the door in plenty of time to grab a flavored coffee before hitting the road to make my scheduled Naselle Coffee Hour.

30 minutes later, a major snafu derailed my Plans

Skamokawa from Heron Pointe; 30 mins via Ocean Beach Highway.
MORE road work delay in Cathlamet.
The 'do-nothing' delay cost me my morning Plans ... GRR

And I knew that a road crew was still on the KM tearing that road up - seriously tearing it up, as in ripping the entire road up and laying a new foundation and blacktop: so, I turned around at Skamokawa’s Duck Inn, and aimed the Highlander for Scappoose, Oregon. I had planned to drive to Scappoose tomorrow … but with the endless road work that creates road havoc at every turn lately, todays reroute would work just as well 😉

Passing through Cathlamet again, I decided to detour through town and up the hill to bypass the road work crew that wasn’t doing anything by sitting in their trucks and wasting time while motorists were sitting in the hot sun waiting to move forward at a snail’s pace. I hate being annoyed with nonsense.

On my way through Cathlamet, I caught sight of a young buck tip-toeing between the Fire Station and a house; on the “Flats” (down by the marina).

Two-prong buck by the Fire Department Building, in Cathlamet.

As I was coming up on Stella, on Ocean Beach Highway, I caught snippets of talking heads on the radio that piqued my interest – so I pulled over in the Germany Creek turnout to listen:

A total overhaul of the day's scheduling.
Our Supreme Court has upheld the Constitutional RIGHT to own and carry guns. YAY!
The hypocritical obamanites have finally voiced what their actual intent is - 'ignore the Supreme Court Rulings' IF the agenda is contrary to their agendas. Can we all just say: “OBAMANITE INSURRECTIONIST BEHAVIOR!”
The People, who actually rule America - (((US = We, The People))), are not going to bow to the bainless & soulless obamanites.
This Supreme Court ruling is a victory for The People - the overturn of roe vs wade is next ... thank God!
The obamanites are engaging in open war against The People – and The People are strengthening their backbones and fighting back.

Dazed and confused Beetlejuice is “angry” over Supreme Court’s gun ownership ruling … BUT was CALLING “for arms!” last month in regards to the overturn of roe vs wade (https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/chicago-mayor-sends-call-to-arms-supreme-court-warning): that chicago zombie needs to be put to rest. Pronto. And, NONE OF THE ANGRY demonrats spouting off about {irresponsibility} gave a rat’s ass about the criminal activities that heralded the biden-harris coup – and continues without police intervention (police are defunded and community ‘control’ is in force), which basically means criminals are placed over criminals and crime continues unchecked with criminally inspired mayoral morons do meaningless pandering photo-ops; not a single one of them gives a damn about the gang related gun violence that has held American cities hostage for decades; not a single one of those morons will admit that the major gun violence happens when a “person of color” picks up a gun and aims it willy-nilly, cutting children down that are in the way of their intended murder victim. The People are sick and tired of the double standards that place terroristic-minded-gang affiliated-criminals above the lawful gun owners. NONE OF THOSE BITCHING TODAY, have a rational solution to the problem they created with their aimless/lopsided criminal sympathizing agendas. The People are tired of the bullshit – and the Supreme Court has heard The People; the Supreme Court is not in place to kowtow to an obamanite tyrannical dictatorship.

And The People aren’t interested in the hypocritical “committee” either, who are fixated on a January 6th {insurrection} that never happened: fantasy based on pure, unadulterated hatred, is not reality; and no one but those bent on wasting time give a fig about the kangaroo court charade foisted on the public. The People have more important things to worry about … and they know this latest dog and pony show is just more of the continued President Trump impeachment nonsense (that went absolutely n.o.w.h.e.r.e.), that Americans were bored to death with. biden will never be legitimized – senile biden, like his man-god barak hussain obama, will always be considered an interloper who stole the elections. No amount of hypocritical committee’s political gymnastics can change that.

The People also want roe vs wade overturned. It is horrifying the depths of depravity the obamanites have gone to – dogs and cats placed before humans when it comes to adoptions/shelter/foods/and general compassion … monkeys, hippos, and elephants declared humans … while human babies are murdered willy-nilly, and dead baby bodies are purchased by soulless states to {fuel} power plants to generate power for homes – the state closest to my home state is oregon! Thousands of aborted or miscarried babies were classified as “clinical waste” and burned as generated “energy” to power homes, and heat hospitals. It’s wicked activity carried out by the truly evilly depraved sector of society (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2611865/Fetal-tissue-used-power-Oregon-homes.html & https://www.bbc.com/news/health-26716924)

What in the HELL is wrong with people, that they can be so completely brainwashed, hypnotized, and totally accepting of something so devilishly demonic? If burning baby bodies for energy fuel, is the 'new green deal' - we don't want it!

And covid vaccines were made using dead baby issue: these medical experiements are nazi practices - diabolical and wickedly inspired.

It did my heart good to hear talking head radio hosts reporting that true-blue-Americans are fighting back against the creeping darkness that is spreading its toxic tentacles across the land.

I crossed the Columbia River, enjoyed my drive with windows and sun-roof open; purchased items needed – and some wanted 😉: enjoyed seeing three snow-topped volcanoes.

I like Scappoose – it’s very Mayberry; it’s a small-town community, and I like that.

Mt. Adams seen from FM parking lot in Scappoose, OR. Mt. Adams is a theoretically active volcano (not considered extinct), about 31 miles east of Mt. St. Helens. Abnormal updraft and gas emission activity at the summit indicate that Mt. Adams is still active.
Mt. Hood seen in the distance; leaving FM, in Scappoose, OR. Mt. Hood is located 50 miles SE of Portland, OR; and is one of the highest mountains in the USA – built up of alternate layers of lava and ash. Mt. Hood is considered an active volcano, and there are scientific rumors that Mt. Hood will erupt sometime in 2022.
Scappoose & St. Helens, OR
Mt. Adams & Mt. St. Helens, seen from Warren, OR; Warren is located between Scappoose & St. Helens, OR.
Mt. Adams on the right ... Mt. St. Helens on the left; WA mountains, across the River; Mt. St. Helens is the most active volcano in the USA; and 67.5 miles from my house.
I really miss visiting Mt. Adams; most access roads have been blocked off, and the ones still open are pretty primitive.

Crossing the Lewis & Clark Bridge from Rainier, OR to Longview, WA, the sun-warmed logs in the shipyard below the bridge sent up a pungent fir scent. It smelled so good. And it reminded me of Bob, because Bob always brought that scent home with him on his clothing, on his skin, in his hair … the pungent scent of fir will always remind me of Bob.

I made it back home in time to eat Supper, and make my 6 PM scheduled meetup 😊

This sign matches my glasses ... and glittery eyeshadows ... I had to bring it home with me. ðŸ˜Š
More yarn for baby items ...
Trying a new summery scented perfume ... I like it.
Also, a new hairspray - we'll see if it lives up to its claim to fame ðŸ˜‰

It is good to have something to look forward to: I am creating happiness.

It is good to have people in your life that want to be friends with you – and make a place for you at the table of Life.

It is good to remember Bob without feeling my heartbeat morph into heart-attack mode; and gasping for breath with the missingness.

It is good to be healing physically, mentally, and spiritually.

It is good to know that I am capable of doing what my husband asked of me. In the moment. 1 step at a time.
