THINGS ARE HAPPENING ~Shabbat Eve

Our morning didn't start off so good; we had a major snafu going on and the problem couldn't be figured out.

It was puzzling.

It was frustrating.

It was eating up precious time we didn't have to spare … Shay would be arriving any time soon - and Holland had to get ready for a dental appointment. This thing needed to be figured out asap.

I finally said, "Let's stop for a moment and ask for Elohim's grace to help us get a  handle on how to handle this situation"; we prayed and asked for Elohim's input, and for wisdom to deal with the situation. We were able to find the origin of the problem, make a phone call, and set Monday aside to take care of the issue. Our thoughts were filled with gratitude :-)

We had both just settled comfortably with cups of morning joy juice, when my phone buzzed with an incoming text:

When I looked up from the phone's message … snowflakes were falling!

This is becoming "a Spring thing" instead of a winter thing, here in WA State. I like snow ((((in December)))), not when daffodils are sprouting and blossoming :-(

A.M. SNOWFLAKES
Fat, fluffy flakes.

My love gift phone, informed me that this unwelcome surprise of white flurries was going to be prolonged:

'Oh goodie' - NOT!
Just the other day we were enjoying a 60-degree day at Willow Grove

I just want to be in a sunny spot of land, enjoying turquoise waters and  white sand - Holland worked as a contractor, and has worked all over America; he thinks Florida sounds good. I concur ;-)

Shay arrived.

Our day was going much better :-)

We visited for a while; and I gave her the listing papers I had completed last night (buyers info) before she left. I'm glad she and Holland hit it off - Holland is reserved around people, but her sparkle brought him out of his shell ;-)

Holland left for his downtown appointment shortly after Shay. While he was gone, I added a little sparkle to the day, myself {just in case}; with the house officially "on the market", I have to be public ready. I didn't get fancy, but I did get out of my pj's. LOL

Adding a little color to my face … glittery & sparkly 'chocolate' shadows.
Sparkly 'Cream' for browline; 'Mocha' for eyelid; 'Cocoa' for liner; Glittery 'Tango' for inner eyelid accent; 'Soft Brown' Brow Gel; 'Glam Brown' Mascara; & 'Coral Ember' Cream Blush.
Public ready …
ALL of this is being culled from my clothes cache; it's not {working} for me.

Around 4 P.M., the Realtor Sign Post was set in place - and we had looky-loo's right off the bat :-)

The house is officially Listed.
The Info Flyers had barely been placed in the clear envelope when we already had interested drive-by's checking us out.

Please Father!

Let this house sell quickly, and at an agreeable price.

Make a way for us to get a coach we will be comfortable in at a cost we will be comfortable with: Holland is a bear of a man at 6'4"; and I'm no Skinny Minnie, either. Comfort is essential. Cost (all the way around) is also essential.

I really want out of Longview.

I want to enjoy my new life with my new husband in a new location with a new mindset for both of us.

Holland is giving his contractor tools away tomorrow; this is a hard thing for a man like Holland to do. He has worked steady to support himself since he was 14 years old. Retirement is not comfortable for him. But, listening to him talk this evening, I do believe he is gracefully coming around and gratefully getting comfortable with relaxing and enjoying life :-)

We only get one life to live; thankfully Elohim has gifted us with a second chance to enjoy love again - and He has blessed us with a comfortable joint income to satisfy our gypsy souls ;-)

Thank You, Lord.

My heart is filled with gratitude this Shabbat eve for all that You have done for me. For all that You are doing for me. And for all that You will do for me.

I love/bless You & I thank You for loving/blessing me :-)

Thank You for this man you have given me to walk this life with.

Thank You for this Life You will help me live gracefully and gratefully.

SPRING SNOW DRIVE

Spring snow is a given in WA State.

Every year.

Every Spring ... just as the tulips and daffodils are breaking soil ;-)

We didn't get more than a dusting of snow (and it was gone quickly), but it was cold here on the lowlands.

So, before Mother Nature dumps more snow on us over the weekend, I went for a loop drive: up Spirit Lake Highway, cut over to Toledo on the crossover road; and came home via Barnes Drive and Columbia Heights - down Lone Fir and along Old Pacific Highway before touching down at home again.

Holland wasn't feeling well, so he stayed home :-(

I grabbed a flavored coffee from Mr. Bill's Espresso, and was off.

The truck in front of me was obviously from a higher elevation location.
Spirit Lake was high, but there was no flooding.
The crossover road is just ahead ...
I noticed on an earlier road sign that Coldwater Lake was posted, 'CLOSED'. The crossover road is left of this road sign.
This end of the crossover road is snowless; Spirit Lake Highway. I had expected to see more snow in this area.
Snow patches as I got closer to Toledo.

An interesting way to 'fence in' your country property ...
Toutle had sparce snow - Toledo crossover was snowier.
Barnes Drive; Castle Rock.
Columbia Heights was the worst road the entire drive.

The loop drive was about 3-1/2 hours long, but it was relaxing.

UNUSUAL – but not so strange …

Well, the weather in my neck of the PNW region this year, has been weird to say the least. I got the notifications on my phone last night that it would be snowing Monday (today) through Friday – snow this time of year is unusual … but it’s not so strange.

Last night’s weather forecast - not looking good for road travel.
Last night, I noticed the street drains are getting backed up with the heavy rainfall.

The Spring of 1975 was a weird one, too. When I woke up May 10th with intense Braxton Hicks twinges, Bob drove my pregnant self from our home in Cathlamet, to the Monticello Hospital in Longview – and to our startled eyes: there was a thick, wide, patch of ice across the highway at County Line. Bob carefully drove over it, before picking up speed again.

So, I didn’t think last night’s notification was too strange. WA weather is ass-backwards anyway when it comes to snow. Snow rarely happens here when it’s supposed to (like around Christmas, would be nice – and n.o.r.m.a.l.). Snow in WA State ALWAYS happens in January, or February. I admit snow in April, or May is strange; but not all {that} strange: just annoying. But, I am sure the national weather forecasters are jumping from forecast chart to forecast chart, and peeing themselves over ‘climate change!’ hysterics being channeled to them by political {scientific} nonsense.

Today, I was up; bright-eyed, and bushy-tailed around 7 AM – and seeing snowflakes.

Woke up to snow - not a lot of snow, but snow nonetheless; Butterfly Bush planter.
The neighbor's car had been nipped by Jack Frost's April's surprise.
Rayne's manicured lawn had also been visited by that impish sprite ...
Typical WA weather; ass-backwards weatherwise.
Drains overflowing with fallen tree blossoms, non-stop rainfall, and a surprise snowfall.
All Spring weather plans have been upended by Jack Frost, and tossed aside for the time being.
The demonrat obamanite propaganda never stops ... this was tagged to my FB Post as soon as I posted it.
I Messaged Adna Floral on FB, to see if the annual Floral Sale was still on; most of their plants are veggie transplants and tender annuals.
The ground is so saturated, I may lose several plants in this flowerbed.
Significant snowfall out Coal Creek.
Snowy situation out Coal Creek, Longview Heights, Goose Hollow, and over Delameter.
I hope my Apple Trees survive this cold snap; they had just started blooming. I doubt there will be apples this year.

Around 8 AM the heat pump thermostat was blinking an unwelcome message to me, as I walked past it: and it was an hour behind in time. If the batteries totally die … will the Heat Pump stop working?

Replace Batteries notification for the Heat Pump.

I am pretty ignorant when it comes to stuff like this, so I called the 1-800-number needed to schedule someone to come out here and change the thing – of course, everyone “is working from home”: an hour later, still no return call. So, I called back and was told, “I left her an email. I don’t know where she is; I’ll send her another urgent request, but I don’t know if any technicians will be available to be sent out by dispatch.” WTH What kind of mickey mouse operation is this????

It’s snowing: I need this thing up and running; so, as much as I loathe candy scott, I called the Park Office and asked if there was anyone in the Park available that could switch the batteries out for me; she said there was, and she’d contact them. I am thankful, and grateful – that does not mean I’ll ever consider her a friend … but I do appreciate her doing her job (when she feels like it).

I am settling into my New Life, and building community; and communities always have unpleasant people in them – candy scott is my unpleasant community member.

But I can’t let her sour attitude color my world.

It is true that her actions killed my husband.

It is also true that Bob had apparently been seriously ill for a long timeperhaps Bob knew that, perhaps he didn’t: but I certainly did not know.

And candy scott’s attitude and actions caused that illness to flare up and shatter our life together.

I know Bob is in a much better place.

I also miss Bob’s presence in my life. Acutely.

I can’t allow candy scott to have power over me, or my emotions; I’d rather not have any dealings with her at all – but she is Park Manager. I need to deal with her on occasion.

I live in this Park – I need to feel comfortable living in this Park. I do have a couple friends that live here, too … but I need to know more than one or two people here; maybe that will happen since I’ll be spending more time at home this year.

While visiting Blog Hops, I was again pleasantly surprised to see that another one of my Posts had been highlighted by another Blog Hop Host 😊

My Big Fat Menopausal Blog, Blog Hop.
One of my own designs featured on another Blog Hop :-)
MOD YELLOW ROSE COFFEE CUFF:

Checking on the slipper soles I coated last night, I noticed they were still slightly damp – so, I’ll l eave them to {cure} another night before coating the soles of the remaining three pairs of slippers.

I'll do the remaining slipper coatings tomorrow; these are still damp.

It’s noon now, and today’s pace has found a comfortable stride … but the weather is still in utter confusion 😉

The digital Forecaster is fairly accurate - the weather is a complicated mess. LOL
