2016 was a year of trials in many ways, but it was also a year of wonderful
blessings in every way. The heartaches were soothed by the balm of answered prayers which
helped to dull the pain of the continual attacks from known and unknown
assailants. Even so, I would not have changed a thing even if it were in my
power to do so; the trials strengthened us in many ways … encouragement when
the heat was at our backs, boldness when faced with frontal confrontations that
could not be avoided, joy unlimited during the year we spent with our beloved
baby grandson – from July to June – and the welcome happy news of a future marriage
for our granddaughter who is marrying a great fella, perfect for her in every
way. We also thank God for courage to step away from all we have known and walk
confidently into a future that holds warm surprises as we contemplate a move
for us to a sunnier and kinder climate that will do wonders for our aging bodies;
we don’t know exactly when that will happen as there is much to do here in order
to move there, but hubs is talking about it, so it’s a safe bet to say it is happening,
and I am G.L.A.D. – I’ve wanted to relocate for a while ;-)
But the perfect end to the past year was the unanimous kicking to
the curb of the wicked obama’s and their rotten-to-the-core administration: (((((((THANK GOD!)))))))) they will all
be gone! And may everything they forced on America/Americans be repealed and
overturned; and may they quickly be erased from the annals of History and evermore
be forgotten …
We also got significant snowfall – twice, and a welcome thing it
was to this snowbaby. Being a December baby, I just naturally love snow days:
4” of snow measured
even as the sun starts melting it …
So while typing this post while looking at the beautiful snow while reflecting on the past year and watching
birds flock to the feeders and squirrels race along the fence line out back, facing
2017 suddenly looks bright and golden :-D
