Electric cars are really quite worthless – and seriously damaging to the environment.

The worthless electric cars are not suitable for families, either – at best, they only seat 1 or 2 people with no storage space for luggage, or spare tires.

And the sticker price is astronomical, not economical.

On the other hand, has ANYONE SEEN A POLITICIAN, OR A CELEBRITY actually driving an electric car from point A to point B? NO! They cruise around in limousines and private jets.

Has ANYONE SEEN A POLITCIAN, OR A CELEBRITY riding a bike to work? NO! And it's not likely to happen, either: a bike does not generate the same narcissistic attitude that a stretch limousine does.

Has ANYONE SEE A POLITCIAN, OR A CELEBRITY (specifically the obamanites, and that loud-mouthed brat from the netherlands) ... promoting an electric jet? NO! They want to get from A to B in a nano second to spread their hysterical bullshit ... {mandated} surface travel would be waaaay too slooow. MPO is that air travel is not necessary at all; and it certainly isn't "scientifically beneficial" to Earth's environment. But, it will continue because the bigwigs, and their entitlement-minded cohorts "gotta-gotta-have it!" want it.

TREASURES & PLEASURES

The weather was still wet and blowsy today; but it backed off enough around noon, to allow me to get to the mailbox/set the garbage and recycle bins out at the curb for tomorrow’s pick-ups/grab a hamburger from Baker’s Corner for lunch – I don’t think I’ll be getting another one there, any time soon: it was so wet (not greasy, but actually wet with pickle & tomato juice), that the bun literally fell apart.

Anyway …

I got back home, sorted the mail, and ate.

Then I paid bills – thank God that’s done for another month.

I heard from a friend in the local hospital, who has recently had surgery: she’s doing okay, but can only have one visitor a day – and she, understandably, is choosing her husband’s visits. I’m glad to hear she’s on the mend.

I also canceled/rescheduled Thursday’s lunch with another friend, downtown this Thursday: weather reports say the sun will be out with a 70-degree sunshine … so, if that’s accurate … I’m going to wash the Highlander on Thursday. It’s so filthy with gravel road dust, highway grime, and wind-blown pollen, that if I didn’t know what color it is – I wouldn’t know. It’s at the point that I am ashamed to take it out of the carport. It needs washed, and Thursday may be the only opportunity for a while, once the Spring rains kick in again.

And, I finished up the last of the Spring hued slippers I’ve been working on the past few days. I wear slippers practically ‘round the clock: the only time I ever wear shoes (or boots), is when I am out-of-house.

The flooring in the house, here, is wood plank flooring – except in the bathrooms/laundry room, which have linoleum flooring; and the kitchen, which has stone flooring. I can’t have carpet with my asthmatic lungs – and I wouldn’t have carpet anyway because I just don’t like carpet flooring.

Because the kitchen has stone flooring with a rough surface, it will eat up the soles of my slippers if I don’t take precautions; so, I liberally coat the soles with Puff Paint, which hardens and protects the slipper bottoms for about six months (longer if I had different flooring, and didn’t wear them for hours on end, every day 😉).

The slipper soles have been reinforced with Puff Paint, for durability.

They are light, and cozy; I didn’t get fancy with the pattern – I kept it simple.

I prefer the comfort of homemade slippers.

And my feet enjoy the pleasure of being embraced by cozy, colorful, shaped yarn 😊

My cousin Joe, had a bike similar to this one – he’d sit me on the gas tank and ferry me up and down the long gravel road from my Aunt Edna’s house to the main highway/back again, in Grand Rapids, MN. That was in 1962. Joe died about a year later. By the summer of 1965, my family had moved to WA State.

Motorcycles also grab my attention.

The motorcycle I spent most every weekend on, with Bob in 1974; while we were dating. This ‘full-dressed-Hog’ belonged to his father. I LOVED IT almost as much as I loved Bob (almost) 😉

SPRING DAYBREAK

It’s been an interesting morning: WA weather has proven once again that it operates on schizoid behavior patterns.

The furious uproar woke me around 5 AM, with no hope of recapturing the quickly dampened zzz’s.

So, I got up and started a pot of coffee perking.

And glanced out all the surrounding windows.

I hope the rambunctious winds and pounding raindrops shake all the heavily blossomed tree limbs free of the pollen-rich blossoms, so I can get outside at some point. I hate being cooped up; and I’ve been refrained from outside activities for weeks with the wacky weather.

I’m really feeling the effects of enforced cabin fever. I need fresh air. I need some sort of social interaction. I need unimpeded sunshine warmth – not liquid sunshine!

I need to open some windows and get busy with Spring Cleaning (breathing easy is necessary when using cleaners – even ‘easy-on-the-lungs’ homemade cleaners work best for me, with open windows).

The car needs a through washing – inside, and out.
