I woke up this morning to the alarm clock buzzing – I hit the snooze button, and considered ignoring it completely.
Today was exercise day in
Castle Rock … and I really didn’t want to deal with backroad deadfall debris on
my way there.
I didn’t even consider the freeway.
Sleeping another two hours
really looked appealing 😉
However, half an hour later,
I was hopelessly awake – and my brain was prodding me to get up, get dressed,
and hit the road.
So, I washed my hair … and
looked out the front window; it was a dark dawn, but it was light enough to see
that the predicted {horrifically devastating} storm had passed my neck of the
woods, without leaving damages in its media-hyped wake.
Outside, there was no
evidence – other than one lonely sprig of leaf cluster torn off a branch in
breathy haste as the storm passed by.
Still, sliding into the
driver’s seat, I still did not feel motivated.
It was cold.
It was wet.
I was sleepy: despite being wide awake.
I doubted coffee would jump
start my slumping ambition.
I knew that I was procrastinating because I just
wasn’t feeling “the mental push”: I’ve dropped a pant size, and am feeling
confident – and complacent.
I also recognize
that that complacency is weak link to the goal I am aiming for.
It was time to spark the
ignition switch, and shift mental gears 😉
Passing over Nevada Drive, the
radio announced that an American Court has declared, and passed into a ridiculous
Law, that hippopotamuses are people!
I wasn’t
surprised: I was instantly angered.
new york, years ago, passed
into Law that chimpanzees are human.
And yet, the
same morons that believe that animals should be elevated to human being status …
claim a human baby is “just pond scum, unworthy of life.”
Clearly these
morons are not functioning with a brain that has all cylinders firing: there's an obvious, and serious misfiring happening
between soul and spirit – their hearts are dead, and their gray matter has
turned to poisonous mush.
It does not good to argue the
point with them: they have seriously retarded themselves … and no longer comprehend
logical facts.
And it is bad
form to argue with the mentally impaired.
Best to leave
that to God’s Spirit; He knows best how to deal with them, and grab their
attention.

When I reached Lexington, I
had to skirt around some twiggy branches strewn across Westside Highway; they
were few and scrawny – not much to worry about.
Driving along Bond Road,
nearing Castle Rock at the Bond-Huntington Ave. S junction, I got hit with two
wind gusts; but they weren’t too worrisome – just two quick short Autumn
breaths of wind that faded as quickly as they arrived. There were some skimpy
twigs here and there on the roadway, but they weren’t serious obstacles … and
they were easy to avoid.
Passing under the freeway
overpass, and entering Castle Rock, it was obvious that the only thing
littering that little town was the fallen leaves that had been shaken and blown
off the trees, lining the road.
Once class got underway, I
was glad I decided to tough it out and go 😊
Everyone
was in high spirits cracking jokes, teasing each other, enjoying the exercise paces,
and just enjoying time out and about.
The time passed quickly.
As I was leaving the
building to walk to the Highlander, a gust of wind whisked the door open,
slamming against the wall; before circling around, and wrapping itself around
me to gently, but firmly, push me forward.
I was glad I had worn my heavy coat 😉
I decided to head home over Hazel Dell.
I crept along carefully,
until I could see further ahead and be assured there was no storm litter debris
blocking the road … or any hefty widow-maker snapped/broken limbs
hanging precariously from tree tops.
You never know, on backroads,
what lies around the bend of the road: but Hazel Dell is a heavily traveled
road, and all I saw were some evergreen branches down and pushed to the sides
of the road – and a couple of pine cones. The road was safe to drive.
Driving by Lake Sacajawea,
on my way to top the gas tank off, I was hit with a migraine headache from the
overpowering stench of the Mill, on Industrial Way. I filled the tank as
quickly as I could and hit the backroad home.
I received a couple phone calls:
two return calls, assuring me that their regions/counties had not been
seriously hampered by the frizzled-out bomb that didn’t have the ‘pop’ strength
the media talking heads were trying to scare people with (very good
news) … and another from a friend in Naselle, who is coming into
town tomorrow morning to take care of some business, and wants to meet at
Stuffy’s for coffee and chit-chat.
“Bombed Out” Slang: (https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bombed%20out)
All the media “cluster-bomb!”
hysteria was about calimexarabia.
NEWS FLASH for the fearmonger’s: calimexarabia is not the entire PNW.
The folks here, were annoyed
that the news mediums had put the ‘bomb storm’ across all {news} sources, as
doomsday approaching. It was to pander to the demonrat sector of society pushing
for climate change mandates.
It will be nice to enjoy
some rational conversation with logical thinking people, tomorrow.
There will be no fearmongering hysterics.
There will be no delusional cono.
There will be shrill covid awkwardness.
There will just be hot coffee refills, laughter and companionship, friendship love/warmth of people - who know they are people; not animals - enjoying each other's company, again, after time apart.
That will be an enjoyable
kickoff to a new day 😊
