VICTORY & A HIGH-5 FOR YESHUA!

This day has been an interesting … and productive one ๐Ÿ˜Š

I spent the morning hours psyching myself up for the evening (I’d heard rumors of stirring trouble in Paradise); by the time I waltzed out the front door, I felt ready to deal with anything (now I know how my Pomeranian used to feel when wading in among big dogs ๐Ÿ˜‰).

On my way out of town, I stopped at the gas pumps to fill the tank for tomorrow’s trip to Graysriver, to spend the day with friends, there.

Things have been a little tense closer to home – tomorrow’s West End visit is really being looked forward to.

My life has ALWAYS been a complicated one. It is almost like Elohim gets a bang out of watching me struggle with the puzzle pieces that make up the picture of my life.

Nothing ever came easy for me. Except Bob; when Elohim blessed me with Bob, THAT puzzle piece slid right into place so easily Bob & I both wore smiles for 44 years.

But most of the time, when I decide on something, Elohim gives me a few puzzle pieces that will go in hard, and says, "Here, try this" – and then stands back and watches me. HE KNOWS ... and I know ... that eventually the pieces WILL fall into place, but it is frustrating until that happens. And sometimes, the {happening} needs a little push.

Tonight, was one of those harder puzzle pieces: it’s been building to a crescendo for a few months, and tonight it got settled, once and for all.

I spent the evening hours with friends up Spruce Creek. Listening, talking, consoling, encouraging – someone was dealing with forgiveness issues, so I shared what I know about forgiveness. It can be hard, but it is necessary (https://jeastofeden.blogspot.com/2021/10/forgiveness.html) … and we also enjoyed a lively Jam Session.

Half way into it, things got real lively when four jerks decided to be bullies, and tried to oust a person because of their youth.

Citing “anger issues” – while displaying their own anger issues!

So, I waded into the troubled water, and jerked the jerks around a bit; force-feeding them their own poisoned pills. The attempted coup was stopped in its tracks before the rebellion took root ๐Ÿ˜‰

People got a good look at the no-nonsense-side of me tonight – I don't tolerate bullshit very well  ... and when the shit starts flying, I shut the shit thrower DOWN. Fast and hard when necessary.

I may look like a pushover, but I can throw a sucker punch that will set people on their ass before they even see it coming.

I think the Jam Sessions will be better tuned for the foreseeable future ๐Ÿ˜Š

EPHESIANS ~ Chapter 6/Thursday Bible Study

Apostle Paul stated that he was a prisoner at the time he wrote the *Epistle to the Ephesians (Ephesians 3:1, 4:1, and 6:20); Ephesians is believed to have been written and dispatched during his first imprisonment in Rome – sometime around 60 – 62 AD.

In this letter to the Ephesians, Paul highlights the responsibilities of parents and children; masters and slaves – before anyone goes ballistic, let me state that we are all slaves to a master of one kind or another, so settle down and open your mind to understand what is being taught. Slavery was, and still is prevalent in civilization; as it was then – as it is now, in many places on Earth. Slavery is being revitalized in America, with the advent of the violently racist blm movement, and the obamanite rise of islam – in every area of life in America. I’m not speaking politically, but rather realistically; the atmosphere of America was radically changed in 2009 with the rise of barak hussain obama who radically hates America, Americans in general, and most especially Christian Americans, whom he has violently opposed as ‘domestic terrorists’ in keeping with his muslim religion dogma. I offer no apologies for stating facts.

Also, there are many types of masters and many types of servants: teacher, student; employer, employee; civil leaders, neighborhood citizens; clergy, congregants; ect.  Those who have eyes to see, and ears to hear, understand.

Paul also describes our spiritual walk as active warfare … and it really is!

Ephesians ~ Chapter 6/Thursday Bible Study

Duties (obligations = understandings of, acknowledgments) of Parents and Children

“Children, obey your parents in the **Lord. This is right. It is the first Commandment with a promise, and reads: ‘Honor your father and mother, that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the Earth.’ (Exodus 20:12)

And fathers, do not irritate your children, but bring them up in the knowledge and living of Christian Truth. (vvs. 1 – 4)

Duties of Masters and Servants

Servants, you must obey (do as told = yield to) your earthly masters, with due respect (regard, submissiveness = compliance) and fear (concern for), in sincerity (goodness, openness) of the heart, as for ***Christ. That is, you should not come with eye-service or try to be men-pleasers, but you should rather be servants of Christ, doing the Will of ****Elohim with all your heart. Do good work with good will, as for the Lord, and not just for men. And remember that everyone – whether slave or free – will receive his reward from the Lord, in return for whatever good he may do.

And you masters, do the right thing by your servants, too. Stop threatening them, for you must know that their master and yours is in Heaven and he makes no distinction between master and man. (vvs. 5 – 9)

The Christian Warfare

Just one thing more: my brethren, get your strength from the almighty power of the Lord. Put on his whole armor (shell shield, protective covering, defensive covering), so that you may be able to resist #Lucifer’s cunning (calculating = determined/controlling, influencing = to win over) tactics (strategies = plans, approaches, schemes; line of attack). For our struggle is not so much against flesh and bloodbut rather against forces (strengths, energies, influences), authorities (establishments, powers that be, agents and agencies), and master-spirits that rule this world in its present darkness (obscurity, shade, shadows). Yes, our war is against the wicked (evil, perverse, unacceptable, at fault) supernatural forces (phenomena or entities that are not subject to the laws of nature; the force or power which is understood to be attributed beyond the scope of scientific understanding) of the =underworld, itself. (vvs. 10 – 12)

The Christian’s Armor

You must, therefore, arm yourselves with Elohim’s whole armor. In that way you may be able to make a stand when the evil day comes and, when it is all over, you will still be holding your own. Stand up, then, put the belt of truth around your waist, and let righteousness be your breastplate. Let your feet be shod in readiness to proclaim the glad tidings of peace. And, by all means, take with you the shield of Faith – with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked enemy of our souls. Make use also of the helmet of Salvation, and the Sword of the *****Ruach HaKo’desh; which is the Word of ******Elohei Ha’Elohim. (vvs. 13 – 17)

Prayer – the Christian’s Resource (supply, means)

Pray much, and at every opportunity. Use every kind of prayer and entreaty (appeal, plea, petition, request; demand = claim, need, expect). Pray in the Ruach HaKo’desh. Be alert (attentive = focused, committed; watchful = wide awake, on the lookout; vigilant = heedful/mindful; ready to act, with all your wits about you) and persevering (dogged = relentless, unyielding/firm) in your supplications (appeals, suits concerning) on behalf (interest, benefit) of ==Elohim’s People.

Pray also for me. Pray that when I open my mouth to speak, I may have boldness to preach the mystery of the ===Gospel. I am an ambassador (envoy = messenger) of this Gospel, but in chains. Pray that I may tell the Gospel story as boldly as is my duty. (vvs. 18 – 20)

Conclusion

Now, if you want to know more about me, how I am and what I am doing, all this you can learn from Brother ##Tychicus, a beloved and faithful fellow-servant of the Lord. I am now sending him to you for the very purpose of letting you know how we are, and to cheer your hearts.

Peace be to the brethren, and love, with faith, from the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! Grace be with all who sincerely love our Lord, Yeshua Ha’Mashiach! Amen.” (vvs. 21 – 24)

*Epistle = (/ษชหˆpษชsษ™l/; Greek: แผฯ€ฮนฯƒฯ„ฮฟฮปฮฎ, epistolฤ“, "letter") is a writing directed or sent to a person or group of people, usually an elegant and formal didactic letter: part of the scribal-school writing curriculum.

**Lord Jesus Christ (in Greek: Kyrios Iฤ“sous Christos) = the most formal title for Jesus (Yeshua). It occurs often in the New Testament letters.

The word “Lord” has a wide range of uses; it can be a simple respectful “Sir” or a more formal, “Master.” But the New Testament also uses “Lord” of God. The word “Christ” is the anglicized form of the Greek word meaning “anointed one” or “Messiah.” “Lord Jesus Christ” reminds us that Jesus is both the promised Messiah and our God.

****Christ (from the Hebrew word, Ha’Mashiach ื™ืฉื•ืข ื”ืžืฉื™ื— & the Greek word, Christos/khris-tos) = The Anointed, Yeshua the Messiah, in both languages.

Yeshua Ha’Mashiach: is Hebrew for “Jesus the Messiah”; the name Jesus is the Greek form of the Hebrew name Yeshua.

****Elohim (Hebrew: ืֱืœֹื”ִื™ื, romanized: สพฤšlลhฤซm: [(eloหˆ(h)im]) is a Hebrew word meaning "Gods – Father, Son, & Holy Spirit". Although the word is plural in form, in the Hebrew Bible it usually refers to a single deity “Behold, the Lord – the Lord is One”, particularly the at God of Israel.

#Lucifer: The Septuagint renders ื”ֵื™ืœֵืœ in Greek as แผ™ฯ‰ฯƒฯ†ฯŒฯฮฟฯ‚ (heลsphoros), "bringer of dawn" – the ancient Greek name for the morning star; The Septuagint, as the translation of the Hebrew Bible, was a landmark of antiquityIt is the first translation in the history of the Bible. It became the central literary work of Hellenistic Judaism (Greek speaking/living Jews) and Early Christianity.

Similarly, the Vulgate renders ื”ֵื™ืœֵืœ in Latin as Lucifer, the name in that language for the morning star.

Lucifer was created a beautiful angel; who defied God, fell from grace, and was cast out of Heaven to become enemy of mankind and arch deceiver. Isaiah declared, “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!” (Isaiah 14.12) Ezekiel goes into more detail in Ezekiel 28:12-19.

=Underworld = Sheol (/หˆสƒiห. oสŠl, -ษ™l/ SHEE-ohl, -ษ™l; Hebrew: ืฉְׁืื•ֹืœ‎ ล ษ™สพลl) in the Hebrew Bible is a place of still darkness which lies after physical death. Although not well defined in the Tanakh, Sheol in this view was a subterranean underworld where the souls of the dead went after the body died.

Tanakh is an acronym, made from the first Hebrew letter of each of the Masoretic Text's three traditional divisions: Torah (literally 'Instruction' or 'Law'), Nevi'im (Prophets), and Ketuvim (Writings) = TaNaKh.

Masoretic text, (from Hebrew masoreth, “tradition”), is traditional Hebrew text, meticulously assembled and codified, and supplied with diacritical marks to enable correct pronunciation.

The Masoretic Text is the basis for translations of the Old Testament such as the King James Version; which is the most accurate translation of the Scriptures.

*****Ruach HaKo’desh: In Hebrew, the Holy Spirit (ืจื•ื— ื”ืงื•ื“ืฉRoo-ahk hah-Koh-desh) refers to the divine force, quality, and influence (aka, power) of God.

The Holy Spirit (Luke 3:16 & 11:13; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Ephesians 1:13 & 4:30; 1 Thessalonians 4:8; Titus 3:5; and Jude 1:20), is referred to more than 90 times in the Brit Chadashah.

******Elohei Ha’Elohim (Hebrew word: ืֱืœֹื”ֵื™ ื”ָืֱืœֹื”ִื™ื)) = God of gods; above all gods.

==Elohim’s People = People of God (Hebrew: ืขื ื”ืืœื”ื™ื) is a term used in the Hebrew Bible to refer to the Israelites and also used in Christianity to refer to Christians, who have been grafted into Elohei Ha’Elohim’s promise to Abraham, through faith in Yeshua Ha’Mashiach.

===Gospel = teaching or revelation of Christ.

##Tychicus: A Gentile (not a Jew) convert from Ephesus, Tychicus was selected with Trophimus to take the offerings from the Ephesian congregation and join Paul’s party journeying to Jerusalem. After Paul’s arrest, imprisonment, and trip to Rome, Tychicus was a useful messenger and representative for Paul to various churches. He carried Paul’s letters to the Ephesians and the Colossians – and possibly the 2nd Letter to the Corinthians. Whether Tychicus got to Crete, as Paul hoped, we do not know. Legend has it that Tychicus became Bishop of Chalcedon in Asia Minor, and died a martyr. Acts 20:4; Ephesians 6:1; Colossians 4:7; 2 Timothy 4:12; and Titus 3:12.
