Today I am 61 ...

Today is my sixty-first birthday … my generation was not supposed to last past their 30th birthday.

Elohim had other plans for me ;-)

TURKEY-LEEK CASSEROLE

Still working my way through the left-over Thanksgiving turkey, so I made this tasty Turkey-Leek Casserole for Supper. It is delish and the kitchen smells wonderful while it bakes ;-)

The heady anticipation of the tantalizing cheesy-nutmeg aroma of this protein packed meal fills the house and takes the bite out of the winter nip … and adds a festive zip; making you feel warm all over.

TURKEY-LEEK CASSEROLE – 8 servings (1 cup each)

5 medium Leeks (or 2 medium Onions), sliced – 2 TBSP Margarine or Butter – 2 TBSP all-purpose Flour – ½ teaspoon Salt – ¼ teaspoon ground Nutmeg – 1/8 teaspoon ground Black Pepper – 1 cup Chicken Stock – 1 cup Milk – 3 cups cut-up Turkey or Chicken – ½ cup finely chopped and fully cooked smoked Ham – 1 jar (2 ounces) diced Pimento, drained – 3 cups hot cooked Noodles (I used Spaetzle noodles for the thickness of them) – 1 cup shredded Swiss Cheese (about 4 ounces)

Everything assembled and ready for action ;-)
I like thick noodles in my winter meals, so I bought Authentic German Spaetzle: I bought ‘store-bought’ because homemade spaetzle takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r ... and for just the 2 of us, store-bought is more economical too.

Cook and stir leeks in margarine in 3-quart saucepan over medium heat until tender – about 5 minutes. Blend in flour, salt, nutmeg and pepper; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until bubbly; remove from heat.

I made the white sauce while the noodles cooked ...

Stir in broth and milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly – boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in turkey, ham and pimento.

The White Sauce finished before the noodles did, so I added the rest of the ingredients to the sauce the last few minutes.
Spaetzle draining while I grate the cheese ...

Spread half of the turkey mixture in an ungreased square pan, 9x9x2-inches, or a 2-1/2-quart casserole dish. Spoon noodles over turkey mixture; top with remaining turkey mixture.

Meat sauce and noodles alternated in baking dish.

Sprinkle with cheese:

Casserole topped with Swiss cheese and ready for the oven.

Cook uncovered in a 350-degree oven until cheese is light brown and casserole is cooked through – 25 to 30 minutes.

Serve and enjoy!

Christmas Eve Drive

We got our first snowfall of the season early afternoon of Christmas Eve :-D

We went to fellowship meeting and felt the first hint of snow in the air when a few misty flakes flitted down out of the gray clouds as we made our way across the grass to the front door. By noon the grass had been lightly powdered and Hubs was saying, “It looks like you are going to get your White Christmas after all”. I was excited … everyone else was not. As you all know: I am a snow-baby, born December 29th, and I always want to see that ‘white stuff’ by Christmas if possible: FOR SURE BY my birthday. Here in the PNW that is not always possible; but when it is, I am always sure to thank Elohim for it ;-)

And I did.

After fellowship we decided (actually I persuaded Hubs) to drive to Graysriver to drop in on his cousin and see how she and her husband were doing – the day before they received news that their oldest son had passed. He had been terminally ill for some time, but news like that is never easy on the ones that get it: even if they are expecting it. So anyway, we came home and dropped off our fellowship things and off we went. We had snow at home …

SNOW! The first snowflakes of the year. I was glad to see it though everyone else was grousing. Doesn't look like much when we left home for Graysriver ... but there was 2" when we got back home.

… but there was no snow at all between home and Graysriver. Nada. We had thought there would be some atop KM Mountain, but there was nothing but a few scattered and very slim patches of a previous snowfall at some point earlier. Well, we reached their home and they were gone. So we left a note saying that we had stopped in, and headed back home.

This side of KM Mountain and the far side of Cathlamet, Hubs asked, “Do you feel like living dangerously?” That sounded like a challenge to me and my eyebrows went up when I turned to look at his impish grin. Hmm. Always ready to meet a challenge with a laissez faire attitude, of course I said, “Yes!” So he turned off at the Elochoman road, and we took the Beaver Creek route towards home – he knew there would be snow up there. And a good possibility that the roads would be icy under the snow covering.

Though people live on Beaver Creek road, and newer upscale houses are being built up there as more and more landowners are forced to sell more and more of their land (more so over the years since we left Cathlamet 25 years ago), Beaver Creek remains very countrified and forested … and is always pretty when it snows:

Beaver Creek road.

The first elk I ever saw was seen on this road. It was so massive I was speechless … and Hubs would have hit it if I hadn’t grabbed his shirt sleeve and yanked it while I mutely pointed through the windshield: LOL. We were dating at the time and were ‘spotting’ for elk: he told me to tell him when I saw one, but I had never seen one before and when I did, I COULDN’T SAY ANTHING because I was blown away by its massive size and sheer majesty as it ran up the road mere inches from the front end of his pickup. Those things are as big as horses – maybe bigger – that rump we almost hit was a few inches above his old Ford’s hood. It was H.U.G.E. They sure taste good though and will feed a family of 4 for a full year. That elk escaped us, but Hub’s hunted and bagged 1 a year until he stopped hunting.

Peak of Beaver Creek road. About 2-inches of fresh falling snow over packed/icy snowfall.
Back end of Beaver Creek road.

Then we meandered up Spruce Creek road … me “oohing” and “aahing” over the “beautiful snowflakes!” and “sparkling fresh snow!”… and that is where the ‘living dangerously’ happened: first, we were cut off by a speeding moron that intercepted our passageway, and flew through - forcing us to stop mid-hill where we lost traction and had to slowly and carefully back downhill before we could gain traction to move uphill again. Thankfully Hubs knew what he was doing, and Elohim sent our guardian angels to flank and guide us forward; He is SO GOOD to us. And we are so thankful.

Spruce Creek. The flakes were heavy with moisture, but fluffy too as they drifted down on the windshield.

A bit down the road, we were cautiously cruising along when we spotted the first peril of the day. So we crawled to a stop and put the hazard lights on so if anyone came up behind us they would know there was trouble ahead of us …

The first sliding accident we saw of the day happened up Spruce Creek spur off Beaver Creek road. A young mother and about 6 kids, 7-10 years old.
Her van was sideways across the road, stopping traffic both ways. These fellas that lived up here came out to help her out of her slick and slippery dilemma.
The 2 men physically jockeyed her van across the icy roadway to get it faced downward where she could coast down the hill to a flat spot to start using gas again.
Someone from the van trying to get a signal for his phone - not gonna happen. This is a dead zone area ... they are lucky all that is dead is the phone.
The mother is scared and traffic is getting antsy as drivers are backed up 5 -6 vehicles. They have places to go and things to do.
One driver offers his vehicle for the kids to stay in - it looks like someone in the van is in a wheel chair.
Guess the suburban couldn't accommodate the handicapped one, so ... it was back to the van to take their chances with the van's dicey situation.
The kids are moved safely downhill hill in the suburban; and the fellas finally coax mama out of her van so they can drive it out of the mess she found herself in in this slippery stuff (Mom in the blue off to the side).
It's moving. And all the waiting traffic breathes, ‘Thank God’.
Success ...
But things got a bit dicey again when the tires kept sliding, and we thought it might go into the ditch on the OTHER SIDE before it finally coasted to a stop just short of the ditch by the mailbox. The road is really slick with frozen ice under the wet, packed, snow.
Catastrophe avoided and everyone is heading back to homes - and vehicles - as Mama and kids climb back into the van and head out ... shakily, I'm willing to bet.
The backed up traffic is also thankful to be moving again.

After we left Spruce Creek and continued home (via Germany Creek and Eufaula Heights – again, my persuading due to Hub’s earlier ‘living dangerously’ quip), we saw two more 5 car pile-ups and 1 guard-rail kisser before we exited at Coal Creek road and reached home. What a day!

Not a typical Christmas Day type of excitement, but then … we aren’t typical people with typical lives ;-)

THURSDAY BIBLE STUDY - Matthew 10

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO MATTHEW

Chapter 10: After Yeshua (Jesus) had called His disciples, He gave them power to cast out evil spirits, and also power to heal every sickness and weakness. These are the names of the 12 Apostles: first, Simon, called Peter, and Andrew, his brother; then James, the son of Zebedee, and John, his brother; Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas, and Matthew, the tax-collector; James, the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, who was surnamed Thaddeus; Simon, the Cannanite, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Him.

It was these 12 whom also Yeshua sent out after having given them orders, saying, “Do not go to the heathen, and do not go to any Samarian town. But rather, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Go and preach! Say, ‘The kingdom of Heaven in near’. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, and cast out devils. Freely you have received, freely give. Don’t take along any gold or silver or other money in your pockets. And no provision for your journey, no extra coat, no shoes, and no staff. A laborer has a right to his support. When you come to a town or village, look up a worthy person and stay with him until you leave again. And when you go into his house, wish it well. And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if unworthy, let your peace return to you. And wherever they will not welcome you or listen to your message, as you leave that house or town, shake the very dust from your feet. I tell you for sure that, on the Day of Judgment, the land of Sodom and Gomorrah will fare better than that town.”

“Yes, I am sending you out like sheep among the wolves. Therefore, you must be wise like serpents and innocent like doves. Don’t put your trust in men, for they will hand you over to the courts, and they will flog you in their synagogues. And they will drag you before governors and kings because of Me, so that you may bear witness before them and before the heathen. Now, when they treat you thus, remember not to be anxious about how or what you say, for words will be given you when that time comes. Indeed, it will not be you who speaks them, but the Ruach (Spirit) of Elohim (your Father) Who will speak for you.”

“Then brothers will deliver up their brothers, and fathers their children. Children will rise up against their parents and will put them to death. And you will be hated by all men because you bear My Name. Nevertheless, he who holds out to the end shall be saved. If they persecute you in one town, take refuge in a different one. And I promise you that before you have completed the round of the cities of Israel, the Son of Man will return.”

“A disciple is not higher than his teacher, nor is a servant higher than their master. It should be enough for a disciple to be like his teacher, or a servant to be like his master. If men have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much better would that fit the members of the household? So, do not be afraid. There is nothing canceled what will not be revealed, and not a secret that will not be known. Now, what I am saying to you in the darkness of night you are to tell in the light of day, and what has been whispered in your ear you must proclaim from the housetops.”

“There are some who can kill the body, but not the soul. Do not fear them at all. But rather fear Him Who can destroy both body and soul in hell. Are not 2 sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them can fall to the ground without Elohim’s Will. And as for you, even the hairs on your head are all counted. So, stop being afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows. Therefore anyone who confesses Me before men I will also acknowledge before My Father in Heaven. But whoever denies Me before men I will also deny before My Father in Heaven.”

“Do not think that I came to bring peace on Earth – I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. I came to set man against his father and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. A man’s enemies will thus be his own family. One who loves his father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me, and one who loves his son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. Likewise, one who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found life shall lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake shall find it again.”

“He who welcomes you, welcomes Me, and he who welcomes Me, welcomes Him Who sent Me. He who welcomes a prophet because he is a prophet will get a prophet’s reward, and he who welcomes a righteous man because he is a righteous man will get a righteous man’s reward. And anyone who will give one of these little ones a cup of cold water to drink, in the name of a disciple, I tell you that he will surely not lose his reward.”

More Ridiculousness

This morning I was playing FV2 on FB and was immediately shut down with this message breaking into my game:

Your Account is Temporarily Locked
We’ve detected suspicious activity on your Facebook account and have temporarily locked it as a security precaution.
It’s likely that your account was compromised as a result of entering your password on a website designed to look like Facebook (BLATANT LIE as I was engaged in playing FV2 ON FB). This type of attack is known as phishing. Learn more in the Help Center.
Over the next few steps we’ll walk you through a security check to help secure your account (I jumped through all their asinine hoops and answered all their stupid questions – and the {team} refused my confirmations concerning MY OWN comments they used to question me with!), and let you log back in (MORE lie as I am still locked out).

This is just pure nonsense and more malicious behavior from the FB {team}. I held my anger in check and went through all the various jumps FB demanded – changed my password, read all their stupid and useless “helps” supposedly designed to let me back on to FB … but drew the line at giving them personal information such as photo ID-military ID-Driver license info-or social security info: I am still shut down.

This happens every month at some point. 2 weeks ago I was locked out of FV2 Groups … with no explanation at all – the {team} just said I would not be able to post until they decided to let me post. I had to change my password then too; and NOW they are demanding I do it AGAIN … just because? WTH!!!

I am running out of ‘new’ passwords and running out of patience with FB’s {team}.

It is ridiculous.

And it is harassment for no reason at all – except that the team “can”.

It is petty and asinine behavior on the {team}’s part.

This follows on the heels of Friday’s ridiculousness https://jeastofeden.blogspot.com/2017/12/tis-season.html
and has us wondering just what the HELL is going on? And WHO has it in for us – me, in particular. In the case of “moronic {pastor} starts raking me over the coals about a questionable text he attributed to have originated with me” … we know who the culprits are in that case; but the rest of the ridiculousness really has us stumped.

It’s About the Cross

We heard this song today. It’s the first time either of us have ever heard it; and it was hauntingly beautiful and brought home the realities of what this Season really means.

Yes, I know this is the Christmas Season.

But the trip to Calvary began with the Virgin Birth; the stable in Bethlehem was a stepping stone …

We found a place to fellowship this afternoon. I am picky about where we fellowship. As Christians, we have to be careful about what our ears hear, what our eyes see, what our hands do, what our heart feels, and what our mind is filled with; that’s why I am picky.

We know, that as Christians, we are “not to forsake the gathering together as some are” when they get fed up and pull away from fellowship all together, but we also knew that given the churches in our immediate area, finding true-blue died-in-the-wool-Christians to assemble with was looking like a losing battle: with the enemy of our souls winning at every turn as more and more pastors sold their souls for bigger, packed, 'churches' and preached a different gospel to appeal to the rebellious who did not want to walk the straight and narrow; and endangered their flock while regaling the wolf, thinking to placate and subdue it. FOOLISH hirelings thinking themselves to be wise and witty shepherds! If a snake-charmer plays with a cobra long enough they will eventually get bit – that’s a given.

Anyway …

We have been scouting for a fellowship that had clear gender identities based on the only TWO genders God created … not on the 150+ barak hussain obama and his tranny ‘wife’ michael robinson created during their disastrous 8 year coup where they nearly destroyed America and did all they could to demonize Christianity. We were scouting for a fellowship that taught the pure Gospel … not the whacky-tobacky-anything-goes-entertainment style passed off as  bible-led teaching’ in the majority of {churches} today, devoid of any semblance of true Gospel. We were scouting for a fellowship that honored women and children, yet did not place them above either the elders or the  congregation as a whole … like the NAR and Vineyard infected churches do: women are “helpmates” to their men, not lord over them, and there is a GOOD REASON children are not given leadership positions until they become adults.

I believe we may have finally found such a fellowship ;-)

It’s outside of the city in a country setting (which suits us), where the people are not concerned about political correctness, and stick to the Scriptures as written without twisting it to a personal agenda. And the pastor read from the Book of Revelations! Do you know HOW RARE that is today? Nearly every local pastor avoids it like the plague because (1) they do not understand it, meaning they are spiritually inept (2) they are afraid if it, meaning they are not born again (3) they are mere hirelings and do not want to be labeled as ‘those people’: ALL excuses are lame and show a definite disrespect for The Faith and for the Word of God. Not to mention that they are deliberately starving the flock with no fear at all of Almighty God – Who the flock belongs to.

We liked what we saw and heard today. We liked that the folk were kind, welcoming, gentle, and not afraid of being “those people”. I think we’ll be going back again and again :-D

Hanukkah is almost over – only 3 days left. Hanukkah is about the preservation of the Jewish people celebrating a band of Jewish warriors reclaiming the Temple and Elohei working a miracle to keep eight days of light burning one a 1 day supply of sacred oil the enemy had not found to destroy. Likewise, the birth of Messiah Yeshua (the true Light of the World) generations later, is also a miracle – starting with conception and ending with an atoning death on Calvary.

Beautiful Hanukkah Candles

The entire message of Messiah Yeshua’s birth in Bethlehem is all about the cross.

And THAT – the cross – is hardly ever mentioned in churches in America anymore because it if offensive. I am glad the fellowship we found today still preaches the cross … people need to be offended into reality today because the world is going to hell and dragging America with it.

((((WAKE UP PEOPLE!))))

‘Tis the Season

For good cheer and more than a touch of insanity.

In that order.

The first part of the season’s ‘good cheer’ is that Hubs finally switched out the old crappy 1980’s Hollywood style-makeup mirror-strip lighting in the spare bath, and replaced it with a much nicer one that actually fits our lifestyle and home:

Hubs switched out the spare bathroom light ...
… and replacing it with this one. Looks good.

And the kombucha home brew turned out very well ;-) I like the Ginger better than the Blueberry; ginger is a good winter immune aide - a tasty beverage for the first night of Hanukkah too. I have peach flavored kombucha fermenting in the cupboard at the moment; can’t wait to try it …

Ginger Kombucha; tastes good.

Wednesday we did check out a church a block or so from our home in hopes that we would be able to enjoy the company of Christian fellowship – NO GO! It was quite a surprise to me to find that the ‘Bible Baptist Church’ is first cousin to the United Pentecostals! Though they did sound a little insane at times which reminded me a lot of the whacky religion of islam. The resemblance to the Pentecostals was in the way they dress and treat their women – not okay with me. The resemblance to islam was their church doctrine concerning women – really NOT okay with me. The things that caught my attention and caused alarms to go off in my head were the statements that “we do not permit our women to work outside the home”, and “when women leave their place in the order of God’s specified order (aka: the way they are to dress, fade into the woodwork unless waiting on their men, to remain silent unless directly spoken to and given permission to speak) they incur the wrath of God and are guilty of blasphemy”. WHAT????

I couldn’t wait to get away from the lunatic fringe church folk! While I DID appreciate the fact that the men were clean cut and dressed like men; and the women were not tattooed and pierced; and the place was overflowing with toddlers which is the sign of a healthy growing fellowship – I was NOT impressed with their subjugation of women or the belief that women who wore jeans, and dared to have a paying job in the workforce were blaspheming God and in danger of hell fire. THAT DOCTRINE IS NOT BIBLICAL. There are MANY scriptural references of Yeshua elevating women to equality beside men in the Gospels, and of women working alongside men in ministry and paying jobs outside the home. The passages that moronic {pastor} was arrogantly quoting had been cherry-picked to suit his own agenda and was not in text with proper understanding of the Scriptures. I do NOT want my grandson exposed to that type of nonsense. Hub’s family is Baptist, so we assumed that would be a good place to find a home-based fellowship when we can’t make Vancouver to fellowship with our Messianic friends: we had no idea Baptists were so off kilter – what an eye-opener. Honestly, I am beginning to wonder if there are any Biblically sound fellowships out there anymore. It doesn’t appear so …

Then tonight my cell phone rings, and another moronic {pastor} starts raking me over the coals about a questionable text he attributed to have originated with me. What on earth??? I do not text – I never have; and I have no desire to start: my cell phone is an old flip-top thing (note picture above ...) with NO text capabilities: I specifically left that off the contract because it seems to me to be more trouble trying to navigate than it’s worth … and it’s pretty darned expensive too. So after he misguidedly vented his biased spleen, I simply said, “I don’t text”. And hung up the phone. Someone somewhere is pissed with me and up to devilish behavior. Hmmm.

It seems like every year more and more looneys come out of the woodwork to try to steal the joy out of Christianity and The Season.

Well … not this year Satan.

Not this year.

Our home is too joyful this year to allow devilish distractions ;-)

THURSDAY BIBLE STUDY

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO MATTHEW

Chapter 9: Yeshua again got into the boat, crossed over the lake and came back to His own city. Some men brought to Him a man lying on a stretcher, paralyzed. When Yeshua perceived their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, have courage. Your sins are forgiven.” Some of the scribes then said to themselves, ‘This man is a blasphemer.’ But Yeshua knew their thoughts, and said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts? Now, which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? Buy in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority here on earth to forgive sins,” He said to the paralytic, “Get up! Take your pallet and go back home!” And he got up and went home. As the crowds saw this happen, they were awe-stricken, and praised Elohei Who had given men such power.

Pharisees call Yeshua a blasphemer

As Yeshua went further along, He noticed a man sitting at the tax office, Mattityahu (Matthew) by name, and He said to him, “Follow Me!” And he got up and followed Him. Then, while Yeshua sat at table in Mattityahu’s home, many tax-collectors and notorious sinners came and sat down with Yeshua and His disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, ‘Why does your rabbi (teacher) eat with tax-collectors and men of bad repute?’ Yeshua overheard it, and replied, “People who are well don’t need rofe (healer), but those who are sick. Go then, and try to understand this saying, ‘What I delight in is mercy, not sacrifice’. And I have not come to call the guiltless to repentance, but the sinful.”

Yeshua eats with Mattityahu

The disciples of Yochanan (John the Baptist) came to Yeshua and asked, ‘Why is it that we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples don’t fast at all?’ Yeshua answered, “Can a wedding party be in mourning as long as the bridegroom is present? No! But there will come a day when the bridegroom will have been taken from them. Then they will fast. Also, no one sews a piece of new cloth onto an old garment, for the patch may tear the garment and a worse rent is made. Nor does anyone put new wine into old wineskins, for the skins may burst and the wine run out, and the wine-skins be made unfit. New wine is out into new wineskins; thus both are reserved.”

Pharisees question Yeshua

While he was yet talking to them, a ruler came up to Him, prostrated himself, and said, ‘My daughter has just now died. Won’t You come and lay Your hand on her, so she will come back to life?’ Yeshua got up and followed him, and so did His disciples. At this, a woman who has suffered 12 years from a hemorrhage approached Him from behind and touched the edge of Hs robe. For she said to herself, ‘If I can only touch His garment, I shall be healed’. Then, Yeshua, turning, saw her and spoke to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer! Your faith has made you well.” And from that very hour, the woman was well. When Yeshua came to the ruler’s home, He saw the flute players and the crowd making an uproar. He spoke to them, “Go! Leave! For the girl is not dead, but is sleeping.” They just laughed at Him. Then, after he had sent the people out, He went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up. And this news spread out into all the land.

Yeshua heals ruler's daughter

As Yeshua was passing along from there, He was followed by 2 blind men who kept crying and saying, ‘Take pity on us, O Son of David!’ But He went into the house and the blind men followed Him. Then Yeshua said to them, “Do you believe that I can do this?” They answered Him, ‘Yes, Lord.’ Then he touched their eyes and said, “Be to you according to your faith!” Then their eyes were opened. Yeshua ordered them sternly not to let anyone know about it. But when they left Him, they made it known throughout the whole countryside.

Hardly had they left Him when there was brought to Him a man who was controlled by a demon and unable to speak. As soon as the demon was driven out of him, the man talked. And the people were astonished, and said, ‘Never has anything like this been seen in Israel’. The Pharisees, however, said, ‘He casts out devils with the help of the prince of demons’.

Pharisees accuse Jesus of being in league with the devil

Thereafter Yeshua went on into the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the Good News of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and bodily weakness. As Yeshua looked upon the crowds that came, He was filled with compassion for them because they were distressed and needy, like sheep without a shepherd. He said to His disciples, “The harvest is truly great, but the workmen are few. Pray, therefore, the Lord of the harvest, that He send out workmen into His harvest.”

Yeshua teaching in their synagogues
Crowd mentality = "fitting in"
A good Shepherd protects his flock ... "laying down his life" for those in his care.

There is a very good reason that Yeshua referred to sheep when sorrowing after mankind. This article is a good description of sheep behavior … and it parallels the behavior patterns of human beings too. So ask yourself: are you a disciple of Yeshua – or a religious sheeple following anything and anyone who comes down the pike to tickle your ears and suit your fancy? The days are getting shorter; it’s time to decide.
