MULISH KRAKEN SEAT

Well ... kraken did not win.

The mulish kraken seat was boxed, and trashed.

I needed to switch out the toilet seat in the spare bathroom.

I studied the connection to the "throne".

I watched a couple Youtube vids.

It didn't seem too complicated.

BUT ... I KNOW Bob: he had tightened it down in 2017, shortly after we moved in. When Bob tightens things down - they will ride eternity out. I knew there would be no way I could get that thing unscrewed.

So, I called a plummer.

And, heard what I expected to hear: "Oh, that's so simple you can do it yourself."

My thoughts: Yes; I know - Bob did it effortlessly, and I'm confident I can too. However, I need you to loosen the screws; so, you may as well go all the way and just get the $$$ for such a simple little thing.

What I said: "I know, but you weren't married to Bob - what Bob tightened down stays tightened down. Trust me, I'm gonna need help with this thing."

They showed up this afternoon.

It took BOTH of them to wrestle the kraken seat loose.

Ta Da! What a struggle … the kraken seat was really tethered to the porcelain throne; but we won, and the new seat reigns 😊

I watched ... and noted the handy-dandy angled-neck pliers used: SO COOL! This solo lobo is going buy one for myself.

I need this! I am going to be paying Lowe’s a visit 😉

After a good half hour (or better), the kraken seat was conquered , and the new seat was installed. Tight enough to stay put - loose enough so that I can do it myself if the need arises

I am really not helpless folks; but I feel like it sometimes trying to follow in Bob's footsteps.

Told ya'so; it was unbelievable how HARD that thing was to remove.
My helpers will be blessed 😊

Thank God for people available to help, and willing to coach me along.
